Franco MicalizziNapoli Violenta – Original Soundtrack ... CD
Beat (Italy), 1976. New Copy ... $14.99 15.99
A classic 70s Italian crime soundtrack – presented here in full format for the first time ever, and filled with wonderful tunes in a variety of styles! There's a quality to the music that really matches the badass image on the front – a bold, forceful approach that has the upbeat numbers strutting along with plenty of pride – and which has the mellower, more brooding tracks working themes that are simple, but which pack the same force as the revolver on the cover. Franco Micalizzi uses some great keyboards throughout – often a bit light, with a style that's sometimes veering towards electric harpsichord, but other times in a more Goblin-like mode – almost horror-styled, especially when interwoven with acoustic piano. Tunes build up with force as the soundtrack rolls on – and this CD reissue features a whopping 30 tracks in all – with titles that include "Bloody Robbery", "Rush For A Sign", "Betti's Investigation", "Criminals At Work", "Useless Waiting", "Crime Outcome", "Folk & Violence", "Ten Minutes To One", and the vocal number "A Man Before Your Time". ✨✧ Lallo GoriAAA Massaggiatrice Bella Presenza Offresi ... CD
Beat (Italy), Early 70s. New Copy ... Out Of Stock
Funky & jazzy sounds for a seedy little Italian giallo film – the ultra rare soundtrack for the little seen AAA Massaggiatrice Bella Presenza Offresi – masterfully put together by genre film composer Lallo Gori! Lallo's name doesn't always crop up quickly in mind when the top 60s & 70s Italian film score gurus crop up – but that's an injustice we'd be happy to see turn around, because all of the 70s work we've heard is as compelling and exciting as it is pulpy and groovy – with swinging, lively and exotic jazz flourishes, lush string and wind accented moments, rubbery bits of of funk, and occasional muscular rocking bits – all conveying the mood masterfully! The soundtrack includes 18 themes, 41 minutes of prime exotic film grooves! CD

✨✧ Francesco De MasiNapoli Spara (LP sleeve edition) ... CD
Beat (Italy), Early 70s. New Copy Gatefold ... Out Of Stock
A great little soundtrack that's as hard-hitting as its cover image – filled with a mix of Italian crime/cop modes of the 70s, plus some sweeter, more melodic moments as well! There's a depth here that goes beyond some of the typical crime scores of the period – and although some of the tunes are heavy on wah-wah guitar and horns, others employ more sophisticated orchestrations that come across in a variety of different styles. Some tunes are tense, some are spare and beautiful, and still others have a full-on sense of drama that's really great – all supported by wonderful artwork throughout the whole CD package, plus notes in English and Italian. Most tracks are relatively short, and titles include "Everybody Has To Live", "Elena", "Double Gaming", "A Bursting Punishment", "Violent Life", "A Paper Separe", "The Train Robbery", "The Lady From France", and "Smooth Thrill". Also features a bonus mpeg interview with the director! CD
