A jazzy gem from the De
Wolfe sound library in the UK – a record done by pianist Roger Webb, but with an expanded "Sound" – as you might guess from the title! Roger plays both acoustic and electric pianos, in a variety of styles – and a number of cuts here have sublime vocals from Barbara Moore – singing wordlessly, and groovily, in modes that echo her own famous De
Wolfe album, but which are a bit more subtle too. Every cut has a different vibe – some outright funky, some more laidback and mellow – and titles include "Sparky", "Cough Drop", "Moon Shade", "Interweave", "Gentle
Eyes", "Petal Soft", "Coaster", and "Grey Sigh".
