Sex PistolsNever Mind The Bollocks (picture disc) ... LP
Warner, 1977. Very Good ... $34.99
The only real full length document ever issued by the Sex Pistols – an album that came out almost as the group was falling apart – yet one that's still gone on to have a hell of a place in rock and roll history! There's no denying the power of these songs, even all these many years later – and together, this mix of important singles and key album cuts offers up a bleak picture of modern life that still resonates pretty darn strongly all these many years later! The whole thing's great, and as instrumentally intense as its lyrics – with classics that include "Holidays In The Sun", "Bodies", "Anarchy In The UK", "No Feelings", "Problems", "Pretty Vacant", "God Save The Queen", "New York", "EMI", "Liar", "Submission", and "Seventeen". LP, Vinyl record album
(Original UK picture disc pressing, still in the die-cut cover, with some ring and edge wear, bumped corners, minor frays in the die-cut, and is lightly bent and faded at the edges.)

✨✧ Sonny SharrockGuitar ... LP
Enemy, 1986. Near Mint- ... Out Of Stock
Later solo guitar free-kout by guitar legend Sonny Sharrock, accompanying himself by way of overdubs. In some ways his most exploratory work, Sonny sprays shards of melody across his patented wall of sound guitar playing. The pieces never lose momentum, even without a rhythm section, perhaps because of the frenetic energy that was the basis of his playing, though there's still the fragile beauty that's evident in all of his work. "Blind Willie" is, as you might expect, a bluesy excursion, while "Broken Toys" is Sharrock going off at his best, and there's also the amazing longer suite on side b: the "Princess Sonata". (Jazz, Rock) LP, Vinyl record album
(Japanese promo pressing, with obi and insert. Cover has minimal wear and a Sample sticker.)

✨✧ Steely DanRoyal Scam ... LP
ABC, 1976. Very Good+ ... Out Of Stock
My god, what a record! This one's genius through and through – a set that sometimes gets eclipsed in the brilliance to come, but which is easily one of our favorites ever by Steely Dan! There's a beautifully focused feel here – thanks to Donald Fagan's incredible lead vocals, and a sense of songwriting that never takes any left turns – no odd forays into different styles or previous genres, just all steeped in Steely, as the group should be by this point! John Klemmer turns in some wonderful sax work that really helps shape the sound, and titles include the wonderful "Caves Of Altimira", "Kid Charlemagne", "Don't Take Me Alive", "Green Earrings", and "The Royal Scam". LP, Vinyl record album
(Early 80s MCA pressing. Cover has initials in marker.)

✨✧ Mike CurbHot Wheels Original Soundtrack ... LP
Forward, 1969. Near Mint- ... Out Of Stock
Classic 60s throwaway bubble gum pop to go with this soundtrack to the 60s Saturday morning cartoon Hot Wheels! All tracks have vocals, and the sound is somewhere between The Sunrays and The Lovin Spoonful – maybe not nearly as clever as either of them, but still pretty cool nonetheless, and produced by Mike Curb with a sound that's a lot better than a lot of his other work of the time. Titles include "Mothers", "It's Magic", "Sky Hawks", "Come Back Baby", and "Words & Music". (Soundtracks, Rock) LP, Vinyl record album

✨✧ FacesOoh La La ... LP
Warner, 1973. Near Mint- Gatefold ... Out Of Stock
The final full album from the legendary Faces – a group who've got all their best elements sharply in focus here, in a way that really stands apart from the growing solo fame of Rod Stewart! Rod the god is still at the helm on vocals – and really sounds incredible – but the group energy of performance is what really drives things throughout – the vibe that makes you realize that these guys play together as well as they party together! Ronnie Wood is sublime on guitar, Kenny Jones tears up the drum kit, and Ronnie Lane's sense of timing holds the whole thing together beautifully. Titles include "Silicone Grown", "Cindy Incidentally", "My Fault", "Borstal Boys", "Glad And Sorry", "Just Another Honky", and the title track "Ooh La La" – which features Wood on lead vocals, and has maybe grown on to become one of the best-remembered Faces tracks over the years! LP, Vinyl record album
