Surprisingly great later work from the legendary Desmond Dekker – a set that should have been a sloppy cash-in during the ska revival, but material that shows Desmond still very much at the
top of his game! The production and backings show a bit of a late 70s British touch, but Dekker's vocals are still very much his own – and the tunes really faithfully stay in the groove that made him so great in the first place. Titles include "Israelites", "Lickin' Stick", "It Mek", "Please Don't Bend", "Many Rivers To Cross", "Hippo", "Juliet", "007", "Work It Out", "Problems", "Rude Boy Train", "Pickney Gal" and "Why Fight".
(Portuguese pressing. Cover has some gloss separation at the spine, partially unglued bottom seam, and yellowing from age in back.)
