✨✧ Louis Van DykeLouis Van Dyke Plays Lennon & McCartney ... LP
CBS (Netherlands), 1970. Very Good+ ... Out Of Stock
An incredibly groovy session of Beatles tunes – one played by Dutch pianist Louis Van Dyke on a church organ, with no other instrumentation for accompaniment! Louis wisely chooses tracks from the later years of the Fab Four's career – some of the more introspective ones that have beautifully sweet themes that sound perfect on the massive pipe organ used for the record. The sound is quite unusual, but quite otherworldly as well – with none of the kitschy overtones you might expect, and instead a somewhat pointed, serious interpretation of these wonderful tunes. Titles include "Goodnight", "Golden Slumbers", "She's Leaving Home", "For No One", "Nowhere Man", and "Blackbird". (Jazz, Now Sound) LP, Vinyl record album

✨✧ We FiveYou Were On My Mind ... LP
A&M, 1965. Near Mint- ... Out Of Stock
A pivotal 60s album in the shift from folk-rock to Sunshine Pop – and a standout gem from the early years of A&M Records! We Five are a group with a really groovy feel – a warm blend of male harmonies and one female voice – all in a style that, a few years earlier, might have been pointed towards more folksy material – but which here really takes off in a soaring sound that's completely sublime! The group have a nicely straight laced look on the front – matched by some of the material they've chosen – some older standards that get "groovied up" by the album – almost the same sort of transformation that Chris Montez was doing to older songs with his A&M work, but in a much more harmonic style by these guys! The set includes the amazing hit single "You Were On My Mind", plus I Got Plenty O Nuttin", "Softly As I Leave You", "Love Me Not Tomorrow", "Somewhere Beyond The Sea", and "Cast Your Fate To The Wind". (Rock, Now Sound) LP, Vinyl record album
