✨✧ Speakers Corner QuartetFurther Out Than The Edge (clear vinyl pressing) ... LP
Otih, 2023. New Copy 2LP Gatefold ... Out Of Stock
A very hip group from the London scene, and one who've got a slightly different origin than most – in that they initially started out as a house band for a spoken word event – then grew into a really great group on their own! In the best contemporary London fashion, there's a real openness to genres and styles here – jazz at the core, but plenty of contemporary soul – especially considering the range of guests on the record – a lineup that includes Joe Armon Jones, Shabaka Hutchings, Sampha, Kae Tempest, and others. The core lineup features Biscuit on flute, Raven Bush on violin, Peter Bennie on bass, and Kwake Bass on drums and percussion – but the record flows with so many other contributions, sounds, and styles as well. Titles include "Acute Truth", "Fix", "On Grounds", "Can We Do This", "Soapbox Soliloquy", "Hither Green", "Dreaded", "Wavelet", and "Round Again". (Jazz, Neo Soul) LP, Vinyl record album

Wayne SnowFigurine ... LP
Roche, 2021. Near Mint- ... $14.99 19.99
Wayne Snow was born in Nigeria, recorded this debut between Paris and Berlin, and comes across with the kind of globe-spanning sound that legacy might make you expect! This is future soul at its best – not warmed-over cliches from the past, but a record that has a crisp sort of contemporary vibe through and through – a lean style that does more with less, and which really brings just the right sort of focus onto Wayne's vocals when he steps into the mix! A great record that really gets right what so many others try to reach these days, but always end up messing up with a bit too much effort – not the case with Wayne Snow, as you'll hear on "Faceless", "Nina", "Seventy", "Number One", "Figurine", "Relativity", and "Magnetic". LP, Vinyl record album
