Sony (Germany), Mid 70s. Sealed 2LP Gatefold ... $24.99
A great little collection of 70s soul – one that's mostly mainstream, and a really great reminder of all the wonderful sounds that were coming our way, back in the day! The work here is from a variety of Sony labels – old catalog cuts from Columbia, RCA, and Philly International – but served up with a really wonderful choice of cuts, and a nice focus on the kind of tunes that not only sounded great in the 70s, but which have continued to spark new interest with larger audiences as the years moved on! There's also a few unreleased tracks on the 7 track vinyl version – including "Use Ta Be My Guy (DJ Reverend P edit)" by MFSB and "Back Stabbers (DJ Reverend P Edit)" by The O'Jays – alongside other tracks that include "Fantasy (Shelter DJ mix)" by Earth Wind & Fire, "Harlem" by Bill Withers, "Wake Up Everybody" by Harold Melvin & The Blue Notes, "In The Mood" by Tyrone Davis, and "Let Em In" by Billy Paul. LP, Vinyl record album
(Pressed on heavy brown vinyl.)
