✨✧ James BrownMother Popcorn (parts 1 & 2) ... 7-inch
King, 1969. Near Mint- ... Just Sold Out!
Not to be confused with "Popcorn" – this is the hard funky cut "Mother Popcorn", a real killer with a chanting vocal that goes "You've Got to Have a Mother for Me"! Served up here on a gorgeous original King 45, with a photo of The Godfather on the label! 7-inch, Vinyl record

Miles Davis QuintetIf I Were A Bell (parts 1 & 2) ... 7-inch
Prestige, 1958. Very Good+ ... $24.99
One of the classic early Miles Davis & John Coltrane sessions for Prestige – a well-crafted quintet album that shows Miles finding a stronger voice than ever, and Coltrane beginning to emerge as a key force on his own! Backing is subtle and soulful – handled by the trio of Red Garland, Paul Chambers, and Philly Joe Jones. 7-inch, Vinyl record

Bill Deal & The RhondelsSwingin Tight/Tuck's Theme ... 7-inch
Heritage, 1969. Very Good+ (pic cover)... $13.99
Forget the a-side, because the b-side's the killer! "Tuck's Theme" is a great instrumental – slow organ bubbling underneath a building bass, horns sliding over the top as the whole thing vamps along, but the groove always staying in the dark corners that make it so compelling! 7-inch, Vinyl record
(Sleeve has light wear and wrinkles.)

George DukeMy Soul/Au Right ... 7-inch
MPS/Wallen Bink (Germany), 1971. New Copy (pic cover)... $14.99 24.99
Two sublime early tracks from pianist George Duke – both from his first MPS album, never issued in the US! "My Soul" has this great rolling groove, with congas from Armando Peraza giving things a nice Latin vibe – as George plays both piano and Fender Rhodes together, for a very warm sound! "Au Right" has lots more great Rhodes – a killer solo that bumps along beautifully over funky drums! 7-inch, Vinyl record
(Really wonderful pressing – done from the original master tapes! Limited edition too.)
