"Keep It To Yourself" is a fantastic fantastic fantastic soul track, and probably the greatest cut ever to come from the pen of Billy Butler. Billy performs it here with his group Infinity, and the track rivals anything his brother Jerry ever did. It's got a sweet sad ballad feel, and some amazing arrangements, courtesy of Vince Willis. Very nice, and we don't believe it's on his LP with the group. Plus, the flip's a nice uptempo progressive soul cut, with good vocals. 7-inch, Vinyl record
Dang, is this great Chicago soul! We don't know much about Marvin other than the odd single here and there, but it's gems like these that will keep us looking for his work. Both sides are wonderful – loping along in a Carl Davis groove, with vocals that are as great as any from the time by Gene Chandler or JerryButler! 7-inch, Vinyl record
2 great tunes from Johnny Williams – an obscure Tyrone Davis-like singer who recorded briefly for Gamble & Huff at the beginning of the 70s, but never cut a full LP. Johnny's got a great voice – a bit rough, but matched here with smooth arrangements, in a style that's almost a 70s approach to the same kind of style that Gamble & Huff were using in the 60s with JerryButler. 7-inch, Vinyl record
(In a Philly International sleeve, with some numbers written in pen. Includes jukebox strips.)
