As classic as classic Kool & The Gang can get! "Good Times" is a nice raw party number – hard Gang-styled funky instrumentation in the background, and some great lyrics sung by different members of the group, almost in freestyle format! "The Frog" is even greater – a snapping little funky number that starts with fast drums, then fills in a bit of moog, making a cool electric bubbling instrumental sound that really sends us! 7-inch, Vinyl record

A killer – one of those must-own tracks that we'd never be without! "Duji" is a totally great cut by Kool & The Gang, jazzy, warm, but still quite funky – with a warm rolling guitar part that's really unique. The cut was sampled famously by Gang Starr for "Jazz Thing" – but it's a stone winner on its own, and always sounds great. Brilliant! "Summer Madness" is one of those tunes that you could never hope to top – spare, moody, with incredible electronics, and a mad slow funk groove that's never sounded anything less than fresh in all its years! "Spirit Of The Boogie" is a tasty cut that virtually defines the boogie groove in funk – bass slapping its way through a midtempo pace, stepping high and large as the whole thing grooves along! 7-inch, Vinyl record

A nice disco-ish number off the Jacksons' Destiny LP, and though it's not really a skating jam, we do recall this one getting played at the roller rink quite a bit, and this version of the track has a nice breakdown in the middle too. The b-side's a nice midtempo groover. 7-inch, Vinyl record

A bit of soul history!!!! This was one of the first-ever singles issued by the early Satellite label that later became Stax. The record was their first big hit – and the fame of the single brought them into conflict with another label called Satellite, who told them they had to change their name. 7-inch, Vinyl record
