✨✧ Michael ChapmanFully Qualified Survivor ... CD
Harvest/Light In The Attic, 1970. Used ... Out Of Stock
The great late 60s Brit psych folk set by Michael Chapman – well played by an ace group that included guitarist Mick Ronson and was produced by Gus Dudgeon, who also worked in Bowie's Space Oddity – a record up there with that one in unclassifiable cosmic folk and rock craftsmanship and eclecticism! There's a mix of acoustic and electric numbers, each with cooly slurred vocals and unique songcraft of Chapman. Includes "Aviator", "Naked Ladies And Electric Ragtime", "Stranger In The Room", "Postcards From Scarborough", "March Rain", "Trinkets And Rings", "Fishbeard Sunset", "Kodak Ghosts" and more. (Rock, Folk/Country) CD

✨✧ Mark FossonDigging In The Dust – Home Recordings 1976 ... CD
Tompkins Square, 1976. Used Gatefold ... Out Of Stock
Awe-inspiring solo guitar from Mark Fosson – brilliant stuff that rivals Fahey, Peter Lang and any other folk guitar geniuses who influenced him – recorded direct to reel-to-reel in Fosson's living room in 1976! Fosson's 12-string, the tape recorder and a rented microphone are all that went into the "production" – but the sound is impeccable, as is Fosson's playing! This is as wonderful as any rare folk guitar music we've been introduced to in quite a while! Includes "Quarter Moon" (plus and alternate take), "Arrival Of The Grand Picayune", "Cosmic Hiccup", "Frozen Fingers" (also with an alternate take), "Gorilla Mountain", "Nancy's Waltz", "Sky Piece" and the only non-original, "Back In The Saddle Again", which is a great, non-nostalgic take on the Gene Autry song. ✨✧ Nitty Gritty Dirt BandDirt, Silver, & Gold ... CD
United Artists/BGO (UK), Late 1960s/Early 1970s. Used 2 CD ... Out Of Stock
A really great collection of work from the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band – a set that's a collection of mostly older tracks, but which also includes a dozen unissued numbers – all put together with that special flair that always made the group's mid-70s records so different than work of their contemporaries! In other words, this is hardly a lean "greatest hits" collection – and instead, the 3LP collection has bits from the first decade of the group's career coming together in all sorts of different ways – almost with the longform exploratory sense of Will The Circle Be Unbroken, and the playful interplay of their Stars & Stripes set – both expanded packages like this. There's many gems here in an array of styles – and titles include "Bayou Jubilee/Sally Was A Goodun", "Some Of Shelly's Blues", "Ripplin Waters", "You Are My Flower", "Creepin Round Your Back Door", "Sixteen Tracks", "Honky Tonkin", "Soldier's Joy", "Buy For Me The Rain", "Melissa", "Woody Woodpecker", "Cosmic Cowboy (part 1)", "Mother Earth Provides For Me", "Jamaica Lady", "Gavotte No 2", "All I Have To Do Is Dream", "Visiting An Old Friend", and "Win Or Lose". (Rock, Folk/Country) CD
