The arrangements are really fresh – in a style that makes the album far more than just a set of standards – and instead gives it the edgey approach of some of Caetano's best recent work. Nice set that has Marcos reworking some of his older tracks, with the same sort of R&B-styled sound that you'll hear on his other Som Livre albums from the early 80s! The groove has a good modern soul feel, and about 50% of the tracks are instrumental.
