A beautiful live set from trumpeter Roy Campbell – a piece of music that's every bit as majestic as its title, and handled by Roy in a wonderfully spiritual way! The album's a real high point – not just in Campbell's career, but in that of the associated group members too – including violinist Billy Bang, who moves us here maybe more than on any of his own albums from the same time – plus Bryan Carrott on vibes, Hilliard Greene on bass, and Zen Matsuura on drums. Campbell's larger musical vision is wonderful – rich enough to move all the rest of the group into a very special player – and Roy also plays a bit of recorder and arghul too, which add some nice exotic currents to the sound, almost recalling an older Yusef Lateef mode. All of our used CDs are guaranteed to play without skipping or flaws. After you receive a used CD from Dusty Groove, you have 1 week to play it to determine that it plays correctly. If it does not, you can request a return for a full refund.
