Excellent collection of 11 deep roots tracks, all cut for the small Ja-Man label in the mid 70s, over nice backings by the Revolutionaries at Channel One or Skin & Bones at Randy's. Junior Byles, who is most well known for the sides he cut with Lee Scratch Perry is featured prominently here, along with Bim Sherman & Rupert Reid whose vocals are paired up with uplifting, soulful rockers rhythms. While the lead off track "Chant Down Babylon" has gone on to become a certified classic, there's a number of harder to find nuggets here, like extended mixes of Sherman's "Mighty Ruler" & Rupert Reid's "See The Dread Deh" and Byles' awesome "Pitchy Patchy". © 1996-2024, Dusty Groove, Inc.

All of our used CDs are guaranteed to play without skipping or flaws. After you receive a used CD from Dusty Groove, you have 1 week to play it to determine that it plays correctly. If it does not, you can request a return for a full refund.
