This image is a general representation of the item and the actual product may differ slightly in terms of color shading, logo placement, borders, or other small details. Used items may have various cosmetic differences as well.
If something is noteworthy, we try to note it in the comments — especially
if it is an oddity that is the only wrong thing about the record.
This might include, but isn't limited to, warped records, tracks that skip,
cover damage or wear as noted above, or strictly cosmetic flaws.
Used CD Grade
We only use the grade "Used CD" for non-new CDs.
This all-encompassing grade was chosen it because we only buy and offer
used CDs in the best possible condition.
When you purchase a used CD you can expect the disc to be free of all but the
lightest of surface marks, the case to be clean (we often change the cases ourselves),
and the booklet to be in good shape.
Used CDs may show some signs of use, but if there are significant details or
defects we will describe the item's condition (just like we do with LPs),
so look for notes on cutout marks, stickers, promo stamps or other details before ordering.
All of our used CDs are guaranteed to play without skipping or flaws.
After you receive a used CD from Dusty Groove, you have 1 week to play it to determine
that it plays correctly.
If it does not, you can request a return for a full refund.

A great session from 1959 – one that features John Coltrane playing tenor in a combo that's billed as being led by altoist Cannonball Adderley – but which is really more of a Miles Davis combo, without Miles! The set was recorded in Chicago when both were stopping through the city ... CD
Cole Porter's tunes are great enough on their own, but Oscar really opens them up on this set – picking up the inherent rhythms in the numbers and really working them over – in a way that makes the outing one of the most lively in Peterson's songbook series for Verve! Oscar's fluid ... CD
A great take on the score to the hit show My Fair Lady – heard here in one of the best jazz interpretations from the time! Billy Taylor really gets a great setting for the music here – one that moves past the more familiar small group takes on the tunes, and features soaring large ... CD
Kurt Rosenwinkel on guitar and vocals, Joshua Redman on tenor saxophone, Brad Mehldau on piano, Larry Grenadier on drums, and Jeff Ballard and Ali Jackson on drums. CD
Classic post-war material from Lionel Hampton & His Orchestra. The lineup shifts from track to track and features work by Johnny Griffin, Arnett Cobb, Kenny Dorham, and Charles Mingus. CD
The first Impulse album issued after the early death of John Coltrane – and one of his last sessions for the label as well! The record's got a somber, introspective quality that almost hints at the darkness to come – a new way of reaching the spiritual planes that Coltrane was striving ... CD
Features Japanese reedman Sadao Watanabe with a great group of younger musicians including Nicholas Payton on trumpet, Cyrus Chestnut on piano, Christian McBride on bass, and others. CD
Great early work from Oscar Peterson – recorded during his first few years with Norman Granz, and in an extremely spare style that only features added bass accompaniment on most tracks! The record's virtually a solo session – cut with a style that's got the energy of Bud Powell, mixed ... CD
Later work from trumpeter Don Cherry – and a great a showcase for the globe's worth of musical influences Cherry picked up over the years! Features Don Cherry on pocket trumpet, melodica, and vocals, plus contributions from Ed Blackwell on drums, Carlos Ward on alto sax, Nana Vasconcelos on ... CD
Oscar Peterson pays tribute to the late Nat King Cole – not only on piano, but also with a bit of vocals as well! Given how rarely Oscar sings on record, the album's a real treat – especially as his vocals capture the spirit of Cole surprisingly well – not exactly like Nat, but ... CD
