The Beatles live at the BBC – heard here in a host
of rare recordings that were done between March 1962 and June 1965 – pulled from the vaults
of the legendary radio station, and with a few cool dialogue bits too! The versions here were all played live on the air, and make for some much-needed alternate takes on the big hits by the Fab Four – and a few American numbers that really show the influence
of other styles on their early sound. And since the recordings were done in a top-shelf studio, they're not muddy concert recordings – but actually feel more like some lost EMI studio material from the same period. 71 titles in all – including "Nothin Shakin", "The Hippy Hippy Shake", "Glad All Over", "Rock & Roll Music", "Ticket To Ride", "Ooh My Soul", "Don't Ever Change", "Slow Down", "Matchbox", "I Forgot To Remember To Forget", "The
Honeymoon Song", "Lucille", "Can't Buy Me Love", "
Taste Of Honey", "From Us To You", "I Got A Woman", "I'll Be On My Way", "Shot
Of Rhythm & Blues", "Some Other Guy", "Soldier
Of Love", and "Clarabella".
