King Sunny AdeSynchro System (Canadian pressing) ... LP
Island (Canada), 1983. Near Mint- ... $11.99
The second domestically released album from King Sunny Ade and His African Beats, with the wonderful Ju Ju sound ringing throughout every piece, from the up tempo numbers to the more mellow grooves. Interlocking, chirping guitar parts are layered over nicely percolating rhythms, 9 tracks in all: "Synchro Feelings – Hako", "Mo Ti Mo", "Penkele", "Maajo", "Synchro System", "E Saiye Re", "Tolongo", "E Wele" and "Synchro Reprise". LP, Vinyl record album

Lou Champagne SystemNo Visible Means (180 gram white vinyl pressing – limited, numbered) ... LP
Pterodactyl/Medical, 1983. New Copy (reissue)... $12.99
Nasty electro punk from the enigmatic Lou Champagne – an obscure early 80s effort issue on Lou's own record label, but a killer cooker that would have shook the New York scene up plenty – had Champagne been working in the Big Apple at the time! There's a dark blend of analogue electronics and punkish sensibilities that almost reminds us of Suicide at their best – and the album's certainly a great companion to their classic first album – although at points, Lou's handling of various waveforms is almost even more deft – creating a sinister sensibility that really makes this one hold up strongly over the years! Titles include "Do Something", "Machine Muzik", "Invisible Prisons", "Another Dimension", "Silent Walking", and "Broken Hearts". LP, Vinyl record album
(Limited to 1000 hand numbered copies.)

Coolin SystemCoolin System ... CD
GED Soul, 2011. New Copy ... $4.99
Cool jazz funk from The Coolin' System – a group that lays out a funky backdrop, and one that actually generates plenty of heat despite the group's name! Hammond organ and Fender Rhodes, bass, drums and percussion bring the funk, along with a vamping guitar – but what we love about this record is all the measured out space that the group provides from some really sweet solos all around. It adds a late 60s-styled jazz funk vibe that's not easy to pull off, but everyone in this group can play, and they make it seem easy. Players include Mikie Martel on trumpet & flugelhorn, JD Douglas on tenor sax and flute, Pablo Ahogado on Hammond and Rhodes, David Guy on bass, James Bonomo on drums and Andy Wilmoth on percussion. AJ Eason provides guest vocals on "I Need Some Money", but for the most part it's a cool instrumentals set, and titles include "Who's Gonna Take The Weight", "Red Onion", "Sunshine Alley", "Roots", "Sweet Honey Bee", "Nubian Lady", "Smokin' At Tiffany's" and more. Ennio MorriconeStark System ... CD
Beat (Italy), 1980. New Copy ... $16.99
Stark sounds from Ennio Morricone – a moody soundtrack from the start of the 80s, and a bit obscure in the Morricone canon – but also a real overlooked gem that's got a feel that's quite different from some of the maestro's bigger work of the time! There's a spare, stepping quality to some of the best tunes here – jagged rhythms that move with weird sonic touches, at a level that's like some of Morricone's coolest thrillers from the early 70s Italian scene – a really surprising return to a style we love so much, especially at a time when Ennio was using larger orchestrations for so many other films. There's a bracing feel to the music that holds on throughout – and titles include "Stark System", "Fantasmi Grotteschi", "Umor Giallo", and other variations. CD also features 8 more bonus tracks as well! CD

New Milt Gross/Ari Y KelmanIs Diss A System? – A Milt Gross Comic Reader (hardcover) ... Book
New York University Press, Mid 20s/2009. New Copy ... Temporarily Out Of Stock
A wonderful look at the early work of Milt Gross – a cartoonist who was to the printed page what Mickey Katz was to records! Like Katz, Gross drew a lot of his humor from Yiddish culture – especially the clash between the old and the new in the community of New York's Jewish immigrants – a community of which the Bronx-born Gross was a part, and was able to examine with a humorist eye rivaling that of Mark Twain or Will Rogers in their own sides of the American scene. And while Gross was a hell of a cartoonist, with a style that was increasingly insane over the years – this edition looks at his illustrated books of the 20s – with a long introduction to situate the material, then selections from the books Nize Baby, De Night In De Front From Chreesmas, Hiawatta, Dunk Esk, and Famous Fimmales. The book is 292 pages, hardcover, and filled with black and white illustrations. Book

Columbia, 1984. Used ... Temporarily Out Of Stock
The follow up to Herbie's groundbreaking hit album Future Shock. There's some rehashing of themes here, with the remake of "Rockit" called "Hardrock" here – basically the same number with some heavy guitar added and a few different solos – plus similar numbers that continue the electro feel, but also add in a peppering of Bill Laswell's world music interest. The album's worth it alone for the presence of D St on a few tracks – and titles include "Hardrock", "Metal Beat", "Karabali", "Junku", "People Are Changing" and "Sound System". Mississippi, 1994. New Copy (reissue)... Out Of Stock
A timeless treasure from Dead Moon – a record that could have been made as far back as the late 70s scene in New York, or the mid 80s in the UK, or even in the recent American underground – but which stands as one of the key primal offering from this 90s Portland trio! The music wraps up so many different lost strands of guitar-based influence – garagey bits, punky bits, and folksy bits – all with a style that's never posturing, but almost has the emotional power of early Replacements at their best. Titles include "It's OK", "The Deadline", "Too Far Gone", "Cast Will Change", "Poor Born", and "Two Fell Away". LP, Vinyl record album

New Underground SystemBella Ciao EP ... LP
Ropeadope, 2014. New Copy (pic cover)... Out Of Stock
An Afro Funk combo, but with a difference! The group's got a strong female vocal presence upfront, and also really knows how to build a tune – mixing together classic rhythms with some inventive keyboard and horn solos – surging strongly forward on "Bella Ciao", a 21st Century version of the kind of longform jam you'd hear on a vintage Fela album! "DON" is moodier and dubbier – almost a post-punk kind of take on Afro Funk – with dark elements in the background at many points, as if Martin Hannett was production! LP, Vinyl record album

Clarke Boland Big BandAt Her Majesty's Pleasure ... LP
Black Lion, 1969. Very Good+ ... $5.99
One of the greatest long-form albums from the Clarke Boland Big Band – a sophisticated suite that not only shows off the writing ability of Francy Boland, but also demonstrates the group's ability to swing like a mofo, even when things are serious! The album's a jazz suite written by Boland, and dedicated to the great prisons of England – where Johnny Griffin was once kept "At Her Majesty's Pleasure", due to non-payment of some income tax. The experience of Griffin led Boland to explore the idea of the British penal system with a number of powerful emotional themes, and the result of this writing is one of the CBBB's best albums of the late 60s – filled with rich colors and tones that go far beyond the earlier modes of the group, but without some of the too-complicated elements that sometimes show up in later suites. A good part of the album's success comes from the strength of the soloists – players who include Johnny Griffin and Ronnie Scott on tenor, Tony Coe on clarinet, Sahib Shihab on flute and soprano, Kenny Wheeler and Benny Bailey on trumpets, and Ake Persson and Nat Peck on trombones. Titles include "Pentonville", "Wormwood Scrubs", "Doing Time", "Broadmoor", and "Going Straight". LP, Vinyl record album

FelaBest Of The Black President 2 (deluxe edition with bonus DVD) ... CD
Knitting Factory, 1970s. New Copy CD & DVD ... $16.99 24.98
Hard to go wrong with a set like this – because in our opinion, just about every track recorded by Fela is a "best" – which makes the collection a massive batch of goodness all the way through! Every track here is presented in its original extended version – a dozen massive slices of Afro Funk, which packaged together equal the equivalent of at least 5 or 6 separate albums by Fela – another factor that makes the collection a great one! The 2CD set is filled with gems that helped redefine the sound of funk, soul, and world music back in the 70s – titles that include "Monkey Banana", "Everything Scatter", "Expensive Sh*t", "Trouble Sleep Yanga Wake Am", "Underground System (part 2)", "Sorry Tears & Blood", "Colonial Mentality", "Yellow Fever", "He Miss Road", "Black Man's Cry", "Mr Follow Follow", and "Na Poi". Roberta FlackOasis (Japanese paper sleeve edition) ... CD
Atlantic (Japan), 1988. New Copy ... $21.99
Roberta Flack sounding freshly inspired in the late 80s – her first new album in years – and it's a really strong one! The first thing that jumps out at us is how wonderful her voice continues to be –she's recognizable from the first syllable, and it's right it home with a contemporary sound – though classical soul-inclined – thanks to smart production and arrangements by Marcus Miller, Jerry Hey and Michael Omartian. There's a little bit of a tropical vibe in couple places – hence the title – especially the opening and closing tunes "Oasis" and "(His Name) Brazil" – and other cuts include the nice and hooky Ashford & Simpson tune "Uh-Uh-Ooh Look Out (Here It Comes)", plus "All Caught Up In Love", "Shock To My System", "You Who Brought Me Love", "And So It Goes", "Something Magic". VPI 16.5Amazing Record Cleaning Machine! (115 Volt Version) ... Misc
VPI, 2004. New Copy ... $649.99 699.99
Ever wonder how we get our records so clean at Dusty Groove? Well, it's because we've been using this amazing machine for years, and we'll swear by it always as the best way to clean up those old albums you find while diggin' through the crates. The long-tested VPI system is in place with record dealers, collectors, and audiophiles everywhere – and it's even used by the Smithsonian Institute for the albums they have in their archive! The process is simple, but extremely effective: the record is bathed in a special fluid, scrubbed by a special brush to loosen all dirt and debris, and then the whole thing's vacuumed up to remove the fluid dirt and all! We know the machine's a bit pricey, and we balked a bit when we bought our first one. Now, though, we own 3 of them, and we think every penny was very well spent. We can't recommend the machine highly enough, and if you ever need a demonstration, just look at one of the very clean records you've bought from us! (The shipping price will be a bit more than usual, and we'll give you a quote when you order, but at least you won't have to pay sales tax on the whole thing.) Misc
(Please Note: unlike other items we carry, this one is not actually in stock. We need to special order it for you, but we usually get them in a month.)

Pressure Sounds (UK), Late 70s. Very Good+ 2LP ... $14.99
Another mighty batch of dubness from Pressure Sounds! Oiginally issued as 20 Golden Hits, this fat batch of dubs takes some of Delroy Wilson's smoothest easy rocking numbers produced by Striker Lee, and hands them over to Prince Jammy at Tubby's for a clean spare dub reading, aimed straight for the sound system, but equally at home in your headphones, too! Jammy applies an easy touch to the dub antics here, preserving Wilson's soulful vocal performances and adding just the right touch atmosphere and highlighting the snapping rhythms underneath! 20 sweet tracks in all, including "A Bright & Sunny Day", "You Have To Get A Beating", "I'm Still Waiting", "Can I Change My Mind", "Ms Grace", "Living In The Footsteps Of Another Man", "Better Must Come", "Rain From The Skies", "I'm Doing My Thing", "She Is Just A Play Girl", "Love Uprising", "Here Come The Heartaches", "Mash It Up", "Stick By Me", "You Are Mine" and "Do Good (Everyone Will Be Judged)". Analog Africa (Germany), Mid 70s. New Copy ... $22.99
Raw sound, indeed – and possibly one of the most hard-hitting compilations so far from the Analog Africa label! There's a quality here that's mighty fresh, and which shows us that there's still plenty of African nuggets to find, if you know where to dig! Much of the music has a dark, moody quality that's really striking – still the grooves you'd expect, but an exotic undercurrent that's almost like Ethiopian music – although very much it's own vibe too! The mix is really wonderful, and makes these tracks from Burkina Faso a rich musical discovery – one that's very thoughtfully put together by the Analog Africa label, with their usual strong attention to sound and detailed notes – not to mention a very handsome package. Titles include " Kabendo" by Konde Mangue, "Sie Koumgolo" by Coulibaly Tidini, "Rog Mik Africa" by Orchestre CVD, "Kodjougou" by Abdoulaye Ciess, "Dambakale" by Compaore Issouf, "Tink Tank" by Afro Soul System, "Love Music & Dance" by Mamo Lagbema, and "Johnny" by Amadou Ballake Et Super Volta. Sublime bossa groovers from Italy! The first volume of this series was one of our favorite compilations that year it was released – and this second volume is equally as great! Schema groover Gerardo Frisina serves up a hand-picked batch of 16 tunes, mostly classic numbers from the late 60s and early 70s, pulled from the ranks of Italian soundtrack, jazz, and easy listening albums – all with a flair for making the bossa even groovier than it already is! Electric keyboards abound – and the rhythms run from dreamy to driving to slightly funky, always at the right pace for the material, and always making the set dance with delight! Plastic Strip Press (Norway), Late 60s/Early 70s. New Copy ... $10.99
Some of the funkiest grooves we've ever heard from the European scene – all tracks from the late 60s and early 70s, recorded as part of the legendary Club 7 in Oslo! Although of Norwegian origin, most of these numbers lean heavily towards American funky styles of soul and jazz at the end of the 60s – grooves that are loose and free, and which often feature some surprisingly great English language vocals – some sung by American soulster Earl Wilson, who was part of the scene at the time, and a key influence on most of the grooves here. The package is a real discovery for our ears – and given that most of these numbers were recorded by the Norwegian broadcasting system for radio play, they weren't really issued publicly at the time – making this collection almost a "sound library soul" set! Titles include "Whole Lotta Love", "Hot Pants", "Come On Children", "Them Changes", and "Moment Of Truth" by The Band No Name; "Groovin" by Karin Krog & Fred Noddelund, "Lite Lite" and "Tamma Song" by Tamma, "Night IN Barcelona" and "Oslo Late July" by Kjellerrock Jazzbandet, "California Soul" and "Don't Let Me Lose This Dream" by Geir Wentzel's Orkester, and "Otinku" by Modern Sound Quintet. Do Right (Canada), Late 60s/1970s. New Copy ... $9.99
A second fantastic dip into the jazz archives of the Canadian Broadcasting System – home to a heck of a lot more great music than you might think! Since Canada never had great labels like Blue Note or Prestige back in the day, many of the country's best jazz players often recorded for broadcast – cutting some incredible work that was often as good as most of the US jazz of the same period, but which never got the same sort of mainstream exposure. But exposed or not, the music is totally great – and often in modal or groove-heavy styles here – no surprise, given that the package was put together by the folks at Do Right Records, easily one of the greatest sources for modern soulful records from Canada! The package gives long overdue respect to these key jazz gems, and is filled with tons of great moments that maybe even go past the strength of volume one! Titles include "Perception" by Nick Ayoub, "Ton Visage" by Yvan Landtry Trio, "Atlantic Rising" by Sunship Ensemble, "Melancholy" by Alvinn Pall Sextet, "Hidden Strength" by Ted Moses Quintet, "Greek Street Break In" by Sakik Hakim, "Beloved Gift" by Bernie Senesky Trio, "Mas Que Nada" by Emil Normand Sextet, "Quebec On My Mind" by Billy Robinson, and "Maiera" by Fred Stone. Funky African – and dancefloor slammers, all of them! Max Reinhardt and the crew at Shrine compiled this set of 12 tasty groovers – and the set has a real London crossover dancefloor sound, with a mix of tracks along the same theme, but pushing the envelope of styles in the way that's had London leading the scene for years. The set's actually pretty nicely put together – and like the other titles on Ocho, it includes material of slightly more recent vintage, great stuff that we might have passed over due to our own snobbery for classic tunes. Aphrodite's Child666 (180 gram pressing) ... LP
Vertigo/Universal (UK), 1970. New Copy (reissue)... Around September 1, 2014
One of the coolest rock concept albums ever – and arguably the crowning moment for Aphrodite's Child – an incredibly hip Greek group from the early 70s – featuring a young Demis Roussos on vocals, and Vangelis Papathanassiou on organ, piano, vibes, flute, and a lot of other instrumentation! Vangelis composed the whole set – as an extended piece based on the Apocalypse of St John – and the album was recorded in Paris, away from their native Greece – in a time of political unrest and cultural upheaval that's clearly referenced in the music! There's a really wide array of textures and moods on the set – from sinister to soft, freaky to peaceful, all laid out beautifully with a sense of poetry and power that few other groups could match! Irene Pappas performs a recitation, and also gives some sexy sounds on the classic "Infinity" – and other tunes include "The System", "Babylon", "Loud Loud Loud", "The Four Horsemen", "The Seventh Seal", "Aegian Sea", "The Marching Beast", "Capture Of The Beast", "Altamont", "Seven Trumpets", and "Hic Et Nunc". New Code IIIPlanet Of Man (180 gram pressing) ... LP
Delta Acoustic/Wah Wah (Spain), 1974. New Copy Gatefold (reissue)... Temporarily Out Of Stock
One of the darkest concept albums we've ever heard – a set dedicated to creation and the "planet of man" – but really just an amazing experiment in sound! Manfred Schunke put the record together to explore his "artificial head" recording system – and it's got this incredible stereo interplay throughout – sometimes weird sounds leaping back and forth from speaker to speaker, sometimes these loud industrial noises looming from each – and creating this richly organic feeling of sound and soil! There's vocals on the set – some sung, some spoken – but most of the music is heavy on echo, noise, textures, and tones – at a sonic level that's more striking than most experiments to follow! A massive exploration of the music of Kashmere Stage Band – the legendary Texas funk combo whose work has been pushed heavily over the years by Wax Poetics, Stones Throw, and many others! The double-length set goes even deeper than any of the vinyl reissues of work by the group – and features some previously unreleased tracks, alternate takes on their funkiest numbers, and a full 10 extra live tracks never heard before! The Kashmere groove is incredible – blasting horns, scratchy guitars, and funky drums – all wrapped super-tight around a range of original material and some more familiar numbers – all recast here in super-heavy funk mode! Studio tracks include "All Praises", "Thank You", "Scorpio (extended)", "Do Your Thing", "Headwiggle", "Do You Dig It Man", "Getting It Out Of My System", "Zero Point (parts 1 & 2)", "Boss City", "Burning Spear", "Take Five", and "Keep Doing It". New Missy ElliottUnder Construction ... CD
Atlantic, 2002. Used ... Temporarily Out Of Stock
Missy and Timbaland (and the usual cast of guest stars) are back and hotter than ever before on Missy's fourth full length, much more of a hip hop record this time, with tons of old school party shouts and new school neo-electro production! Under Construction is kind of a concept album (don't worry, not in the Jethro Tull kind of way) with a theme that celebrates the hip hop golden age of the mid-to-late 80s but with a modern, probably timeless flavor. The status quo R&B that Missy can't seem to get out of her system is here only at a minimum – this is a hip hop record! Past guests like Method Man (turning in a great remake of "Bring The Pain"), Ludacris, and Jay Z show up as well as 50 Cent, Ms. Jade, Beyonce Knowles, and TLC – but as usual, no one steals the show from Mis and Tim. No one would claim Missy is the most scholarly of lyricists, but as a conduit for attitude and a spicy groove she can't be beat, plus her topical and scatological rhymes and choruses fit these hip hop party bumpers like a Kangol & a gold chain. Tons of shout outs to and samples of the old schoolers that are just way too true to be nostalgic, plus strong production from Timbaland that isn't afraid to risk his reputation as an innovator by referencing his influences. The duo may have produced more astoundingly great singles in the recent past, but this is Missy and Timbaland's magnum opus, as far as full lengths go. 13 tracks including "Work It", "Go To The Floor", "Bring The Pain" featuring Method Man, "Funky Fresh Dressed" featuring Ms Jade, "Slide", "Play That Beat", "Ain't That Funny", and more. Segments Of Time were apparently a Detroit soul combo – but they've got a righteous heavy sound that's more like some of the slightly-political east coast groups from the same generation, like True Reflection or The Modulations. The band's got a strong vocal style – with a compelling raspy lead vocalist, and sweeter harmonies behind him to balance things out. There's possibly a Temptations influence in there – and tracks include "Are You Too Blind To See", "Doing Time In Poverty", "Will of the People", "Song to the System", and "When That Day Comes". New LabelleBack To Now ... CD
Verve, 2008. Used ... Out Of Stock
The first album from Labelle in 30 years, but a set that's surprisingly faithful to their classic 70s groove – thanks to solid production from Lenny Kravitz, Gamble & Huff, and Wyclef Jean! That raspy, funky style that Labelle picked up when hitting Epic is very much in place here – a gritty groove on the bottom that seems even more effective here alongside the vocals than it did before – especially when compared to some of Patti Labelle's recent recordings. Patti's as great as ever, and both Nona Hendryx and Sarah Dash live up to their legend too – making us like this album a lot more than we expected, and wishing that someone had sent us a promo in advance, so that we could get behind the release a bit more strongly! Led Zeppelin walk back just a bit on their more stylistically sprawling tendencies for this one – and it's a fine set of hard-grooving rock from these uber-legends! We're not sure if they got some of the more ambitious ideas out of their system with Physical Graffiti, or if they just simply wanted to get out there and kick ass this time, but that's indeed what they do. It's still got some longer songs and complicated changes – this is Led Zeppelin, after all – and the lack of over-played classic rock radio fodder actually makes this one a better listen nowadays than the more iconic albums. Felix Kubin looks a lot like an alien on the cover of this set – and sounds a fair bit like a space visitor in the music as well! The work's got this very cool blend of electronics and playful rhythms – served up in a style that really takes us back to some of our favorite German work of the post-punk years – particularly the music of Der Plan and Pyrolator, both of whom would be a great comparison to Kubin's work! The tunes are catchy and playful, but also have this undercurrent of darkness too – and loads of analogue elements that bristle and crackle in this very cool way – like you've tapped into some spaceship out in the ether, and are able to unload all the grooves going on in their soundsystem. Perception/BBE (UK), Early 70s. New Copy 2CD ... $15.99 16.99
Amazing grooves from a legendary pair of labels – the ultra-funky Perception and Today Records, home of some killer sounds from the New York scene at the start of the 70s! The labels had a great ear for up-and-coming soul – especially with some of the younger groups rising up at the time – and they also used their magic to refresh the sounds of some older artists, particularly jazz musicians, who took on an ultra-funky approach at Perception – one that's made their work for the label some of the most in-demand over the years! Drums are heavy, bass is nice and fuzzy, and many of the cuts have a righteous sound that really takes off from the most progressive soul, funk, and jazz of the late 60s – pushing hard with an even heavier 70s vibe. Titles include "Brother" by Adam Wade & Johnny Pate, "Too Sad To Tell" by Debbie Taylor, "Chitlins & Chuchifritos" by Joe Thomas, "Naturally Good" by Bartel, "You & I" by Black Ivory, "I Can't Get No Higher" by The Eight Minutes, "You Owe It To Yourself" by JJ Barnes, "Get Some Of This" by Madhouse, "Honey Buns" by Bobby Rydell, "Gingele" by Astrud Gilberto, "One Life" by The Albert, "Surrender" by Black Ivory, "Wishful Thinking" by JJ Barnes, "You've Just Been Bitten" by Bartel, "Every Brother Ain't A Brother" by Joe Thomas, "Submission" by Tyrone Washington, "Boogie" by Bartel, "Alligator" by Dizzy Gillespie, "Rock Steady" by Julius Brockington, "Find The One Who Loves You" by The Eight Minutes, "A Possibility" by Wanda Robinson, and "Heritage Hum" by James Moody. A killer collection of early 80s electronic numbers – most of them in a post-punk sort of style, but often with a bit of a dancefloor groove as well! Most of these cuts were issued only on rare 7" singles – and are brought together here by the wonderful talents of Medical Records – a label we've really come to trust for obscure 80s electronica! Another round of Studio One butter from the folks at Soul Jazz! By this point you're well informed about the status of Coxsone Dodd's Studio One operation as the cornerstone of so much Jamaican music, and Soul Jazz has approached the catalog from just about every angle, covering nearly all the bases before landing here on this dub set. The sly Island grooves are stripped down to their bare essentials, then given a tasteful bit of dubby gloss at the hands of Sylvan Morris, for a massive collection that'll rule your stereo like Studio One rocked the sound systems back in the day. 17 tracks in all, wrapped in a nice package that includes interviews with Morris and Dodd, and fully annotated as to which numbers the rhythms were originally cut as the backing for. Includes "Bionic Dub", "Sky Rhythm", 'Taurus Dub 2", "Hooligan", "Dub Rock", "Hi Fashion Dub", In Cold Blood Version" and "Feel The Dub". CD

In fact, the sound here is so heavy, you might want to turn down the bass a bit on your stereo before playback – lest you blast the dishes off your shelves in the kitchen. Albums are usually featured in a book like this, but the authors do a great job of illustrating the diversity of 45 labels on the Jamaican scene – the wealth of designs and colors that make collecting reggae 45s a past time that's almost as pleasing from a visual perspective as it is from an audio one! Plus, given the obscurity of most of these records, the book's even more valuable – a much-needed record of these small pressings that never got much distribution – laid out here in beautiful full color images. A great batch of spare, spacey club cuts – every bit as electronic as you might expect from the "tech" in the title! Most numbers are in a space between cosmic disco and colder electronics – kind of a post-prog European groove that really sounds great when represented by work this strong – a small sub-chapter in the sound of the dancefloor back in the day, but one that's definitely worth rediscovering! Imagine Kraftwerk tuned a bit more for the dancefloor, and you've got part of the feel of these cuts.
