Funky club from Creme D'Cocoa, spelled differently on the label of this single for some reason –perhaps because it's one of their earlier singles done for a side-label at Salsoul, and featuring a great mix of disco and ensemble funk! "Wiggle Wiggle Wiggle" has a midtempo groove that's as catchy as the title – done with lyrics from the entire group and a bouncy boogie styled rhythm! "Disco Strut" is even better, though – a smoother, almost jazzier number that's years ahead of its time – picking up some slight cues from Roy Ayers, and letting female vocals glide beautifully over the spacey groove! 12-inch, Vinyl record

A tasty little 4 track sampler overflowing with great little grooves! The set kicks off with Port Authority's cover of Deodato's "Super Strut" – a great version of the funky classic that puts in a bit more horns than usual, but still keeps the driving groove of the tune intact! Leon Mitchison follows with the spacey club track "Love Is" – a killer number from the pre-disco years, and one that mixes together sweeter soul with a driving bassy groove! The Black Exotics cop the style of another great funk combo and jam hard and horny on "Theme Of Blackbyrds" – followed by the excellent "Butter Nut" by Black Truth Band, which jams and snaps along with heavy heavy drums on the bottom, and almost a marching groove on the top! 12-inch, Vinyl record

A great remake of the Wet Willie hit – one that's got a soaring, strutting clubby feel that's totally wonderful! The tune's a superb anthem from the old days – and although the hook's a bit commercial, it still sounds plenty great to us after all these years! 12-inch, Vinyl record

2 tracks from Cheryl's Preppie album – a sweet little early 80s groover, with plenty of electro touches! "Free" is awash in heavy bass pedals and keyboard bits – but also features Cheryl's deeply soulful vocals strutting out over the top, creating a nice juxtaposition that's the main strength of the tune! "Encore" is another electrified number, but grooves along with plenty of warm and jazzy touches – keyboards building and swaying under the vocals, which are top-shelf and extremely catchy all the way through! 12-inch, Vinyl record
