Another nice mid-80's Profile MC that somehow never put out a full length LP. It really is a shame. Probably our favorite use of the James Brown "Talkin Loud" sample. 12-inch, Vinyl record
Our favorite track from the Likwidation LP. Spare beats with a staccato piano line throughout plus the sound of rolling bottles as percussion, with a great appearance by the late great ODB! 12-inch, Vinyl record
Five track sampler off Wu-Tang Forever, with "For Heavens Sake" and "Heaterz" featuring Cappadonna, plus "As High As Wu-Tang Get", "The MGM", and "Dog Sh*t". 12-inch, Vinyl record
(In the die-cut silver Wu-Tang sleeve, with bumped corners.)
With Nas, Foxy Brown, Baby, and Amerie on "Too Much For Me"; and Fat Joe, Remy Ma, and A Bless on "Take A Look At My Life", with remix by Buckwild. 12-inch, Vinyl record
Single from the classic "Infamous Mobb Deep" LP, with the remix version, that's got slightly more heavy production than the original. 12-inch, Vinyl record
If you ask us, this is Larry Heard's finest moment, combining the raw energy of early Chicago house with a jazzy sensibility, warm tones on the keyboards and a spare approach that gives all the elements room to breath. A modern classic! 12-inch, Vinyl record
(Red label pressing with BP etch in a Chicago Trax sleeve. Label on Side A is faded.)
A killer moogy club classic! Cloud One were part of the whole Patrick Adams/Peter Brown cluster of groups who used tight club grooves and spacey production styles to forge a legendary disco sound that's finally getting its due these days. This single, the obscure "Patty Duke", is one of the most compelling chapters in that legacy – as it's a strange bubbly track, with a tight hard groove, and lots of weird little moogy and keyboard bits! Very nice, and issued here in the 2-part instrumental version! 12-inch, Vinyl record
A funky funky bit of wax – one of the first releases on the Luv N Haight label, a long out of print reissue of these two funky sides by the Soul Toronadoes! Both cuts bristle with a JBs type groove – nice and tasty, and even louder on this 12" single than they'd be on a 45! 12-inch, Vinyl record
