"Where Have All The Flowers Gone" was once a familiar folk song – but it gets a great new sound here in the hands of Walter Jackson – who sings the tune with a nicely deep vocal style, setup here in some cool backings with vibes right up front! 7-inch, Vinyl record
Great stuff! We love Deon Jackson – we love his voice, we love his songs, and we love the great production he gets from the legendary Ollie McLaughlin! 7-inch, Vinyl record
One of the greatest pop soul singles of all time! Even though we hear it lots of times on oldies stations, we still get a thrill from the great raw sound of "But It's Alright" – especially the great choppy guitar bit on the intro! Plus, this original Calla pressing of the track also features an amazing b-side – the hard storming "Boogaloo Baby", which is an incredible Northern Soul track with a groove that just won't quit! Pounding piano, great crowd sounds on the chorus, and a runaway groove that never stops! 7-inch, Vinyl record
A great one from Michael – one of our favorite early tracks by him! The tune's a great bubbling number from Leon Ware – one that shows Michael singing in a slightly more mature style that really comes off well! "We've Got A Good Thing" is more of a sweet pop tune – but still pretty nice too. 7-inch, Vinyl record
(In a Motown sleeve with light wear on the opening. Labels have light ring wear.)
An amazing groover from Michael's first big adult years – a hard-grooving dancefloor anthem that never gets old – and which proves that when he was on the money, he could be pretty darn amazing! 7-inch, Vinyl record
A special single issued to coincide with the over-hyped release of Michael's Dangerous album – featuring "Jam" from that record, plus the real treasure: a Masters At Work remix of "Rock With You" – one that features all the great bits of the original, plus some nice house inflections for the dancefloor! 7-inch, Vinyl record
Incredible stuff – simply incredible! If you ever needed a reason why Lamont Dozier on ABC is such a good thing, check out this single – as both sides are fantastic – the kind of slow burning, full grooving, anthemic soul that Lamont forged best while at his time for the label. Arrangements are by HB Barnum and McKinley Jackson – and the sound is near-perfect on both cuts! 7-inch, Vinyl record
(Includes jukebox tags! In an ABC sleeve.)
