MotorheadAce Of Spades ... LP
Bronze, 1980. Near Mint- ... $99.99
Landmark British metal from Motorhead– inarguably one of the greatest albums ever in the genre! If there's a flaw to Ace Of Spades, it's that Lemmy & Co.'s signature song – the title track, of course – is so damned amazing, you want to drop the needle on it 10 times in a row everytime you pull the record out of the sleeve before going on to the rest of the record. If only more rock & roll albums had this "problem". Other tracks include "The Chase Is Better Than The Catch", "Love Me Like A Reptile", "Shoot You In The Back", "Fast And Loose", "Fire, Fire", "Jailbait", "Bite The Bullet", "The Hammer", "Dance", "Live To Win" and more. LP, Vinyl record album
(Original US Mercury pressing with Masterdisk stamp/HW etch. Cover has a cut corner, some ring and edge wear, and is lightly bent at the opening.)

(Vinyl has a press flaw that plays with some noise on the Ten Years After track. Cover has light wear and aging.)

✨✧ Davie Allan & The Arrows/The Hands Of TimeWild Angels – Original Soundtrack ... LP
Tower, 1966. Very Good+ ... Out Of Stock
Classic kitschy biker material from Davie Allan and The Arrows – one of the best-ever groups to play on schlocky soundtracks during the 60s! There's lots of guitar and lots of fuzz – and guessing from the photos of the movie, the music was the best thing about it! Toddler Mike Curb put the whole thing together – but the vibe is much more like some of Allan's excellent guitar instrumental albums of the time – apart from the few more standard rock band tracks you'd find in Curb's other productions from the period. Most of the album's instrumental Arrows work – and tracks include "The Chase", "Bongo Party", "Blues Theme", "Theme From Wild Angels", and "The Unknown Rider" – plus the vocal cuts "Theme From The Wild Angels" by The Visitors and "Midnight Rider" by The Hands Of Time. Neutral, Early 80s. Very Good+ ... Out Of Stock
Groovy downtown score to this NY underground film from the early 80s – a great document of the scene at the time! John Lurie plays sax on a number of tracks, and other players include Scott & Beth B (who directed the film), Richard Edson, and Kristin Hoffman. Titles include "Sleaze", "Black Box Disco", "End Zone", "The Chase", "The Roof", and "The Demo". (Soundtracks, Rock) LP, Vinyl record album

✨✧ Stu Phillips/Tammy Wynette/The WindowsRun Angel Run ... LP
Epic, Late 60s. Near Mint- ... Out Of Stock
Biker time again – as Stu Phillips lays down a tight little soundtrack for this obscure motorcycle flick from the late 60s! Stu started out as a jazz man, but is best known to us for his very groovy work on the Beyond The Valley Of The Dolls soundtrack. The best cuts on here are Stu's instrumentals – a mixture of funky jazz with a twist, and a bit of funky flute, plus some other numbers that have a well-composed, more serious approach. Highlights include "Friendly Fuzz", which mixes heavy guitars, drums, and flute – and "Rescue", which has a very similar approach – plus the chase-y groover "Get It On". Tammy Wynette sings the title cut "Run Angel Run", and The Windows sing "True Believers", "You're Gonna Get A Piece Of My Mind", and "Love & Admiration Of The Brotherhood Society Of South Napa County". Also includes "Oversexed" – a nice mellow tune with a misleading title. (Soundtracks, Rock) LP, Vinyl record album

✨✧ Ken Thorne/Wynder K FrogTouchables ... LP
20th Century, 1968. Sealed ... Out Of Stock
A pretty darn psych/groovy soundtrack – to what looks like a very strange film! The music is by Ken Thorne – and the tracks are a mix of mod rhythms, instrumental groovers, and some very trippy numbers that use echoey percussion and some electrified instrumentation. A few cuts have vocals – such as "Respect" by The Ferris Wheel and "Touchables Theme", sung by Nirvana, in a style that's almost in the Bob Crewe mode – but the best cuts are the instrumentals, which are really really fantastic. A few cuts have organ by Wynder K Frog – and titles include "Samson's Theme", "The Dome", "Sadie's Theme", "Christian & Melanie", "Blues For A Frog", and "The Chase". (Soundtracks, Rock) LP, Vinyl record album
