✨✧ 100 Proof Aged In SoulSomebody's Been Sleeping/I've Come To Save You ... 7-inch
Hot Wax, 1969. Very Good+ ... Temporarily Out Of Stock
"Somebody's Been Sleeping" is a stone cold 70's soul classic! It starts with a nice high-pitched choppy bit, then rolls into a groove that has a great AM radio soul sound. Nice catchy hook, too! 7-inch, Vinyl record
(In a Hot Wax sleeve.)

LutherIt's Good For The Soul (part 1) (mono, stereo) ... 7-inch
Cotillion, 1976. Very Good+ ... $2.99
Beautiful uptempo Philly stuff from Luther Vandross, back when he managed to make stuff with a disco groove, but that also had the feel of a great soul record. 7-inch, Vinyl record
(Promo in an Atlantic/Atco Group sleeve, with bent corners and a small tear in the die-cut. Label on stereo side has an X in pen.)

DellsI Can't Do Enough/Hallways Of My Mind ... 7-inch
Cadet, 1969. Very Good+ ... $3.99
Charles Stepney arranged, and Bobby Miller arranged and produced, with the great psychedelic soul sound that the Dells were using at the time. 2 tracks from the Always Together LP, here on an original 45! 7-inch, Vinyl record
(Vinyl has a tiny drill hole.)

General JohnsonWe The People/Keep Keepin On ... 7-inch
Arista, 1976. Near Mint- ... $2.99
Two uptempo sides by this ex-singer of The Charimen Of The Board. David Van De Pitte arranged, and the record's got a bit of a modern soul sound – which suits the General's unique voice just right! 7-inch, Vinyl record
(In a lightly wrinkled Arista sleeve.)

MystiqueSomebody Somebody To Love Me/It Took A Woman Like You ... 7-inch
Curtom, 1977. Near Mint- ... $4.99
The mellower side of Mystique – one of Chicago's more uptempo funk ensembles from the 70s! "Somebody Somebody" is a catchy little love tune – penned and arranged by Richard Rome, and produced by Bunny Sigler with a mellow sort of Philly feel. "It Took A Woman" is even better – more in a mellow Chicago soul mode, with a very laidback and slow-moving groove – and some great harmonies on the vocals of the tune! 7-inch, Vinyl record

Natural FourHeaven Right Here On Earth (mono, stereo) ... 7-inch
Curtom, 1975. Very Good ... $5.99
Leroy Hutson arranged, produced, and wrote this tracks, an excellent harmony side by this stellar soul group from Chicago, with a catchy hooks and a sense of harmony that will make you think you're on the east coast. 7-inch, Vinyl record

✨✧ Lamont DozierFish Ain't Bitin/Breakin Out All Over ... 7-inch
ABC, 1973. Near Mint- ... Temporarily Out Of Stock
Incredible stuff – simply incredible! If you ever needed a reason why Lamont Dozier on ABC is such a good thing, check out this single – as both sides are fantastic – the kind of slow burning, full grooving, anthemic soul that Lamont forged best while at his time for the label. Arrangements are by HB Barnum and McKinley Jackson – and the sound is near-perfect on both cuts! 7-inch, Vinyl record
(Includes jukebox tags! In an ABC sleeve.)

✨✧ Ernie K DoeDancin' Man/Later For Tomorrow ... 7-inch
Duke, 1967. Very Good+ ... Out Of Stock
Obscure work from Ernie K Doe – and pretty darn nice too! "Dancin Man" is an uptempo cut that lives up to its name – one that has Ernie hitting an almost sock-boogaloo soul style, but which still has a bit more jagged New Orleans feel. "Later For Tomorrow" is even better – although a very different track that features slow, drawn-out bluesy vocals that are totally great! 7-inch, Vinyl record

✨✧ Aretha FranklinMoody's Mood For Love/Master Of Eyes (The Deepness Of Your Eyes) ... 7-inch
Atlantic, 1973. Very Good+ ... Out Of Stock
One of her coolest records from the 70's. Her version of "Moody's Mood" is more than enough proof that she's got great jazz chops, and "Master Of Eyes" is a nice dark soul track. Quincy Jones arranged and produced, and he brings a lot to Aretha's style. 7-inch, Vinyl record
(Labels have light staining and wear.)
