The debut albums from brothers Ismail and Sixu Toure – a duo who'd soon rise to global fame as Toure Kunda, but emerge here with a sound that's very lean and funky overall! The record's a great fusion of funky late 70s Parisian styles and elements from the Toure homeland of Senegal – served up with duo vocals that have a heck of a lot of appeal, even when you don't understand the lyrics – as the brothers glide warmly over wickedly sharp basslines and percussion, often with a richer, deeper vibe than some of the more clubby Afro-styled recordings in Paris at the time!
