Edition SpecialeMonseiur Business (original, Aroop Roy rework) ... 7-inch
Pepite (France), Late 70s. New Copy (reissue)... $12.99
A rare cut from this great French group – excellent in the original, and mighty nice in the rework! The main version is wonderful – funky and clubby, but with a very jazzy vibe – one that's echoed by the duo singing the lead lyrics in French, and by the keyboard solo that does some mighty nice things in the middle! The re-work on the flipside kicks up the groove a bit more, and stretches out some of the best elements – but still has plenty of room for those great vocals and keys! 7-inch, Vinyl record

Frank PisaniPlease Don't Make It Funky (original, Patchouli Brothers re-edit) ... 7-inch
Happy Day/Pepite (France), 1980. New Copy (reissue)... $12.99
A rare boogie number from Chicago – presented here both in the original version, and a new edit! The tune's got a warmly captivating vibe – a smooth groove at the core, and these raspy vocals from Frank that are very different than the usual – as is the lyric, which is nicely playful, and really gets augmented on the chorus – as the horns step up a bit more, and backing vocals slide in alongside Pisani! The re-edit is great – and picks up all the best elements and brings them even more to the forefront – mighty nice for the groove! 7-inch, Vinyl record

✨✧ Leonard ChinWhat More Can I Say (dance mix 83, original) ... 7-inch
Sanity/Pepite (Switzerland), 1982. New Copy (reissue)... Out Of Stock
A sweet modern soul stepper – a cut that's been lost for years, and is definitely one of those rare gems worth discovering! "What More Can I Say" has this jazzy vibe that comes from sweet guitar stepping over the midtempo groove – while a warm vocal group harmonizes with mellow, soulful energy! The "dance mix 83" has a bit of a reggae rhythm, but very subtle – and the chromatic quality of the guitar really sounds great in the setting! 7-inch, Vinyl record
