✨✧ FajardoCuban Jam Session Vol 3 (aka Cuban Jam Session Vol 5) ... CD
Panart/Musart (Mexico), Early 60s. Used ... Temporarily Out Of Stock
Smoking jam session work from the Cuban scene – led by the legendary flautist Fajardo, and featuring work by a variety of un-named, but excellent players! As with other records in this series, the style here is loose and free – the key inspiration for descargas in years to come, and the mode that would be adopted strongly by the Alegre All Stars in New York. Rhythms are all listed as "tropical", but have plenty of jazzy inflections, and an overall sound that's best known these days as descarga, with a focus on instrumental solos. Titles include "La Flauta De Jose", "La Charanga", "Vamos A Gozar", "Pa' Coco Solo", and "Juaniquita". CD
(Out of print.)
