Blue SharksIt Became Crystal (blue vinyl pressing) ... LP
Leonardi/Redi (Italy), 1972. New Copy (reissue)... $29.99 36.99
A really groovy little record – originally issued in a very small run for the equally small Leonardi sound library label – but a set that's got more than enough funky instrumental moments to rival the giants on the scene at the time! The record's got plenty of keyboards, riffing guitars, and funky drums – used here on short tunes that pack plenty of punch, and which often have a romping funky style that's somewhere in the territory of the legendary Duke Of Burlington albums – but with more organ in the lead instead of piano! Very funky throughout – with cuts that include "The Hunter", "Waiting The Blow", "Handy Goes To Pub", "Clumsy Chap", The Newcomer", and "A Sort of Witchery". LP, Vinyl record album
(Limited edition of 500 – on clear blue vinyl! Note: top cover seam has a very small split, about an inch – but price has been discounted, and rest of cover is great.)

✨✧ Mario MolinoBeat Gregoriano ... LP
Leonardi/We Are Busy Bodies, 1971. New Copy (reissue)... $25.99 26.99
An album that really takes the "beat" in its title seriously – as the set's got plenty of heavy drums, right from the start – and at a level that's very different than the usual Italian sound library set of the time! The vibe is more rock than jazz or easy – and the heavy drums are topped by guitar turned up with plenty of fuzz – almost a psych take on the "shake" or "jerk" modes of the European instrumental scene of the late 60s – but with some funky currents in the rhythms that would be right at home in Memphis soul too! Titles include "Love For Phone", "Lamento Beat", "Mangusta", "Avocadro", "Cortante", "Giantollo", "Kiss For Flavia", and "Povero Capellone". LP, Vinyl record album

✨✧ Egisto MacchiFauna Marina (180 gram clear blue pressing) ... LP
Leonardi/Vinyl Magic (Italy), 1972. New Copy ... Out Of Stock
An unusual album of underwater sound library music from Egisto Macchi – one that offers up a very unique take on the small genre – like some of Macchi's other records from the 70s! Egisto's ocean is a place of darker moods and deeper currents – not the bright waves of sound or watery instrumental moments of records with a similar theme – but a place of shadows, caves, and monsters of the deep – served up with music that moves between melody and more atonal moments! Titles include "Squali", "Granchi", "Pinguini", "Delfini", "Polipi", "Crostacei", "Attinie", and "Plancton". LP, Vinyl record album

✨✧ Daniela CasaAmerica Giovane 2 (180 gram pressing) ... LP
Leonardi/BTF (Italy), 1975. New Copy Gatefold (reissue)... Out Of Stock
America's never sounded better than in the hands of Italian sound library talent Daniela Casa – who does a great job here of serving up all these cool tracks that would have been right at home in a film set during the 70s! The music is a mix of themes that evoke different slices of the American experience – almost all of them with keyboards, and most with a nice current of funk as well – plenty of action elements that resonate nicely with the best Italian soundtracks of the crime/cop variety from the same stretch in time! Titles include "Icarus", "Big Sur", "Spiralys", "Beta Lady", "NYC 42nd", "Fix", "Third World Tango", "Puertorico Slum", "Soft Bird", and "Kentucky Fried Chicken". LP, Vinyl record album
