Led ZeppelinLed Zeppelin ... CD
Atlantic, 1969. Used ... Just Sold Out!
One of the most monumental debuts in rock history – a record that hit the world like a led zeppelin, and left an impression for years to come! Led Zeppelin pretty much took over rock right from the beginning – which isn't too surprising, given that Jimmy Page had an in-demand guitar heavy for years already – but the power of this debut is still astonishing after all these years – a blistering blend of bluesy roots, psych fuzz, and razor-sharp instrumental dexterity! The whole thing's a gem – and titles include "Good Times Bad Times", "Babe I'm Gonna Leave You" "You Shook Me", "Dazed And Confused", "Your Time Is Gonna Come", "Black Mountain Side", and "I Can't Quit You Baby". CD
(BMG music club pressing.)

✨✧ Led ZeppelinLed Zeppelin II ... LP
Atlantic, 1969. Very Good Gatefold ... $29.99
One of the most supremely classic of all classic hard rock albums! As huge as the debut was, Led Zeppelin II is the record that proved that the group were going to be in it for the long haul – with a righteous raw power that's still being felt all these many decades later! Nobody else could touch this one – and the album is filled with iconic cuts that include "Whole Lotta Love", "Ramble On", and"Heartbreaker" – plus the ridiculous Bonzo showcase "Moby Dick", and "Bring It On Home". LP, Vinyl record album
(Red & green Rockefeller pressing, SD 8236 & CTH suffix. Vinyl plays with a click on side 1, track 3.)

Led ZeppelinLed Zeppelin III ... LP
Atlantic, 1970. Very Good Gatefold ... $34.99
The third in Led Zeppelin's spectacular run of early albums – each one either matching or topping its predecessor, depending on one's personal favorite – and a record with an influence that's as massive as the sound! The record's got a pair of of Zep's best-remembered songs in "Immigrant Song" and their take on the traditional "Gallows Pole", but the whole thing is great – and a great balance of their earlier bombast with a lot more acoustic moments. Other tracks include "Friends", "Celebration Day", "Tangerine" and "Hats Off (To Roy Harper)". LP, Vinyl record album
(US Broadway label pressing, SD 7201, with CTH stamp, in the die-cut revolving wheel cover.)

✨✧ Led ZeppelinPhysical Graffiti ... LP
Swan Song/Atlantic, 1975. Very Good+ 2LP ... $29.99
Led Zeppelin at their most sprawling – in both ambition and in the pacing – on the gargantuan Physical Graffiti! This is the album where they started bringing some odd synth textures to the sound, and it's to Zeppelin's eternal credit that this doesn't compromise their blues-reverent hard rock one bit! There's no better Zeppelin album when it comes to giving the fans what they want, while chasing the band's adventurous muses at the same time. Includes the classics "Kashmir", "Custard Pie", "Houses Of The Holy", "In The Light", "Ten Years Gone", "Boogie With Stu", "Sick Again" and more. LP, Vinyl record album
(US Swan Song pressing with PRC, FT and AT etch, in the die-cut cover, including the heavy inner sleeves and insert.)

Led ZeppelinPresence (Japanese paper sleeve edition) ... CD
Swan Song/Atlantic (Japan), 1976. Used Gatefold ... $9.99
Overlooked genius from Led Zeppelin – an album that was missed by many the first time around, because of it's tight focus and simplicity! For the set, the group step back just a bit from their more stylistically sprawling tendencies – almost as if they got some of the more ambitious ideas out of their system with Physical Graffiti, or simply wanted to get out there and kick some ass – a back to basics move, and one that sees some tremendous guitar work from Jimmy Page! The album still has some longer songs and complicated changes – this is Led Zeppelin, after all – and the lack of over-played classic rock radio fodder actually makes this one a better listen nowadays than the more iconic albums. Includes "Achilles Last Stand", "For Your Life", "Nobody's Fault But Mine", "Candy Store Rock", "Hots On For Nowhere", and "Tea For One". CD
(Out of print, includes obi.)

✨✧ Led ZeppelinHouses Of The Holy ... LP
Atlantic, 1973. Very Good Gatefold ... Temporarily Out Of Stock
Led Zeppelin at peak power – mixing hard rock bombast with deep, genuine love for blues and folk guitars! Houses Of The Holy is the essential the blueprint for countless imitators to come – but it's also got smarts, subtleties and creative ambitious that's just plain lost on the watered wannabes that floated up in Zeppelin's wake. Titles include "The Crunge", "Over The Hills & Far Away", "The Song Remains The Same", "The Rain Song", "Dancing Days", "Dyer Maker", "No Quarter", and "The Ocean". LP, Vinyl record album

✨✧ Led ZeppelinLed Zeppelin IV ... LP
Atlantic, 1971. Very Good+ Gatefold ... Temporarily Out Of Stock
Hard rock perfected! It's around Led Zeppelin IV that you can easily say that the group moved up from being incredibly great to flat-out legendary – really in a class by themselves, although maybe they'd already reached that point with the sublime sounds of the previous three records! There's a darkness here – and a sense of magick too – an eerie new energy that still has all the balls-out rock power of before, but which has the group moving into this heady territory that's really all their own. Every song is a classic – and tracks include "Black Dog", "Stairway To Heaven", "Rock And Roll", "Misty Mountain Hop", "When The Levee Breaks", "Going To California", "Four Sticks", and "Battle Of Evermore". LP, Vinyl record album
(US pressing with Rockefeller address, SD 7208. Includes the printed inner sleeve.)

✨✧ Led ZeppelinCoda ... LP
Swan Song, 1982. Near Mint- Gatefold ... Out Of Stock
The title's an apt one – given that the record was the end of the tremendous run of records from Led Zeppelin – issued after the death of legendary drummer John Bomham – but the set's also way more than just an endpoint, as many of the tracks return to the group's beginning – and bring back unheard sounds from early 70s sessions! There's a nice criss-crossing of styles here – from the rawness of the earliest records, to the refined complexity of the mid 70s – and the album's way more than just an afterthought to the catalog – and is filled with great cuts that include the Bonham showpiece "Bonzo's Montreux", plus "We're Gonna Groove", "Poor Tom", "I Can't Quit You Baby". "Wearing And Tearing", and "Ozone Baby". LP, Vinyl record album
(Includes the printed inner sleeve.)

✨✧ Led ZeppelinSong Remains The Same (with booklet) ... CD
Swan Song/Atlantic, 1976. New Copy 2CD ... Out Of Stock
A live album, but one that's every bit as essential to the Led Zeppelin catalog as any of their studio albums from the 70s! In fact, the album may well be more important on its own – as it marked a real high point for the double-length live album in rock music – not just because it features lavish packaging and great presentation – but also because, like the film, it's filled with really long, unusual takes of the group's classics – most of which diverge very strongly from their studio versions! The real highlight here is the set's classic "Moby Dick", which features one of the greatest drum solos ever set to wax – and other tunes include "Rain Song", "Whole Lotta Love", "Stairway To Heaven", "No Quarter", and "Dazed & Confused". CD
(2018 remastered edition, done by Jimmy Page – with 24-page booklet.)

Terry ReidRiver (expanded limited edition) ... CD
Atlantic/Water, 1973. Used Gatefold ... $22.99
One of the greatest albums ever from the oft-overlooked Terry Reid – a man who turned down an initial offer to be the lead singer of Led Zeppelin, but went on to record some great albums on his own! The album was Terry's first away from producer Mickie Most – and it's got a much more American vibe than previous efforts – with some nice rootsy touches on guitars (including steel and slide) from the great David Lindley, which really work perfectly with Reid's compellingly raspy vocals – and some slightly funky elements on the bass and drums! Willie Bobo makes a surprising appearance on the title cut "River" – which almost has a Chicano rock groove at times – and other titles include "Dean", "Avenue", "Things To Try", "Live Life", "Dream" and "Milestone". Also includes the bonus tracks "Anyway" and "Funny". CD

✨✧ AerosmithAerosmith ... LP
Columbia, 1973. Very Good+ ... Temporarily Out Of Stock
The swaggering, hard grooving and hard rocking debut of Aerosmith! While "Dream On" gets as much or more rock radio play than any song should ever need, it's actually pretty easy to overlook just how good the rest of the record is. They may borrow the bluesy swagger of the Stones and heavy riffing of Led Zeppelin, but it's ultimately a heavy, but accessible rock sound that's distinctively all their own. Includes "Dream On", "Make It", "Somebody", "Walkin The Dog", "Write Me", and "Mama Kin". LP, Vinyl record album
(Later pressing in the larger group cover photo.)

✨✧ VariousRock En Avandaro – Valle De Bravo ... CD
Orfeon (Mexico), 1972. New Copy ... Out Of Stock
An overview of some of the hippest Mexican rock of the early 70s – put together as a tribute to the country's first rock festival in 1971! Most of the work here is pretty hard edged – tunes with very tight guitars and a slightly bluesy undercurrent – kind of a Mexican equivalent of the Cream/Led Zeppelin/Deep Purple era of the UK – with a fair bit of English language lyrics on most tunes. A few of the rhythms are nicely tight, and almost funky at points – and some of the groups bring in some added horns, which creates almost a jazz rock vibe – especially on work by The Soul Masters, who are clearly our favorites here! The Soul Masters cuts show a dose of James Brown influence too – with some really romping rhythms and super tight horns on tracks that include "New Man", "Jenny My Love", "Libertad", and "I Feel I'm Losing You". Other groups and titles include "Di Por Que" and "Tal Vez" by The Love Army, "Roaming" and "Everyday Face" by La Fachada De Piedra, and "Buscando Alrededor" by Free Minds. CD

✨✧ YardbirdsLittle Games (180 gram pressing) ... LP
Epic/Parlophone, 1967. New Copy (reissue)... Out Of Stock
Gritty and powerful grooves from The Yardbirds – a set that mixes bluesy guitars and psych in a pretty incredible way – all infused by excellent work from the young Jimmy Page, at a level that predicts course he's take with Led Zeppelin just a few years later! By the time of Little Games, the group are really hitting their stride – moving way past simple mod modes or garage grit, to find that sharp-edged sound that made the Yardbirds one of the best of their generation – and a huge influence on groups for years to come. The set was produced by Mickie Most – and titles include "Little Games", "Smile On Me", "White Summer", "Glimpses", "Drinking Muddy Water", "Little Soldier Boy", "Only The Black Rose", "No Excess Baggage", and "Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Sailor".
