✨✧ SpinnersYesterday Today Tomorrow/Labor Of Love ... CD
Collectables, 1977/1981. Used ... Out Of Stock
2 lesser known albums by The Spinners – the first arranged by Thom Bell, the group's big supportive talent from the early days, the later arranged by Michael Zager, who's reaching a bit to try to give the group a more modern soul sound. Neither record is one of the group's finest – but overall, the CD's 14 tracks (3 are omitted from Labor Of Love, due to space restrictions) have enough good moments to show that The Spinners could still be going strong. The group's vocals are always a treat – even though there's not as many totally excellent tracks on the set – and titles include "I'm Riding Your Shadow", "You're Throwing A Good Love Away", "Honey I'm In Love With You", "Almost All The Way To Love", "Long Live Soul Music", "Give Your Lady What She Wants", "You're The Love Of My Life", and "I Found Love". Alec SewardLate One Saturday Evening ... LP
Blue Labor, 1966. Near Mint- ... $13.99
A very rootsy set that was recorded live at a house party in the mid 60s – and done with a sound to match! Alec Seward never fully got his due before passing away too soon in the early 70s – but he was a good friend of Brownie McGhee and Sonny Terry – both of whom join in a bit here (especially Sonny on harmonica), and with whom Seward shares a strong ear for older, rootsier modes, even in a more contemporary electric scene. Yet the set's also quite different than any of Terry and McGhee's own records – a bit more personal, and maybe less crowd-pleasing – done with an intimacy that really shows a personal portrait of Alec on guitar and vocals. Washboard Doc plays a bit of his own instrument at points, and Julia Carr sings just a bit too – but the main focus is on Seward, on titles that include "Her Ways Are So Sweet", "Rock Me Darlin", "Late One Saturday Evening", "Feel So Good", "Blues All Around My Head", and "Creepin Blues". LP, Vinyl record album
(Cover has some very light wear, but this is a great copy overall.)

✨✧ Heiner StadlerBrains On Fire Vol 2 ... LP
Labor, 1974. Used ... Out Of Stock
Pianist Heiner Stadler was a key part of the New Jersey underground of the late 60s and early 70s – and although he wasn't the greatest avant garde pianist in the world, he was fortunate enough to have his own record label, and to be able to work with some of the better talents of the scene on his own record. Case in point is this album, which features the track "Love In The Middle Of The Air", an extended duet between Reggie Workman on bass and Dee Dee Bridgewater on voice – really a wild one, and quite different than most of Bridgewater's work done in later years. The track's a key part of her career (not to mention Workman's), and Stadler fortunately stayed out of the set to let the pair improvise together freely. Side two features two shorter tracks – "UCS" and "Pointed" – more outside, and played with groups that include Tyrone Washington, Garnett Brown, Workman, and Lenny White. LP, Vinyl record album

U-Nam & OthersWeekend In LA – A Tribute To George Benson ... CD
Skytown, 2012. Used ... $7.99
A nice little tribute to soul, jazz and fusion legend George Benson – and a project that's a labor of love for Benson-devotee, soulful spirit and brilliant guitarist U-Nam – with an allstar lineup that features Ronnie Foster, George Duke, Patrice Rushen, Andreas Oberg, Tim Owens, Marcus Millers and others! Benson is an artist who embraced diversity and creative evolution – and this tribute does that legacy proudly. It's rich with fusiony soul groovers that are laced with some truly impeccable guitar work. It's got some throwback swagger in spots, but it's also got some distinctly modern soul appeal – and an all around affectionate spirit. U-Nam plays guitars, keyboards and more here – on top of handling the recording and arrangements – and the guests bring their best! Includes "Weekend In LA" with Rhodes and clavinet by Ronnie Foster and vocals by Andreas Oberg, "Give Me That", "Shiver" and more with singer Tim Owens, "This Masquerade" with more great Fender Rhodes – this time by George Duke, "Hip Ship", "Before You Go/Breezin'" with Patrice Rushen, "Nature Boy" with Stokely Williams and more. A fantastic little set that looks at themes of hard work and labor in postwar country music – territory that certainly opened up with the success of the Merle Travis tune "Sixteen Tons" – and which took very different forms in country music than the same topic in folk and blues! These tunes often have a sense of wit amongst the strivings and struggles in the workplace – maybe a slight "American hero" vibe, of the sort that would resonate strongly in country trucker tunes! and in case you're wondering, there's not a trucker track among these – as the tunes are more focused on hard labor in the mines, the fields, and the factory All tracks are brought together with the same sense of careful choice that the label brings to their Hillbillies In Hell series – and songs include "Workin Man" by Bobby Barnett, "A Working Man's Prayer" by Tex Ritter, "Money" by Tex Williams, "Workin Hands" by Dave Dudley, "Cotton Mill" by Eddie Noack, "Down In The Mine" by The Wray Family, "Don't Want To Work" by Doc Williams, "On Strike" by David Hiser, "Money Hungry" by Arlie Duff, "By The Sweat Of My Brow" by Bill Carter, and Tennessee Ernie Ford's great remake of his hit, "Sixteen Tons '65". ✨✧ VariousGive Me My Flowers – Powerhouse Gospel Music From The 50s & 60s On Nashboro Records ... LP
Nashboro/Third Man, 1950s/Early 60s. New Copy ... $16.99
A fantastic collection of postwar gospel recordings from the legendary Nashboro Records – one of the most important imprints for the music back in the 50s and 60s! We rank the work of Nashboro right up with the famous Houston-bred productions of Peacock Records – and as Peacock was part of the secular soul label Duke, Nashboro was also part of the blues powerhouse Excello – which means that the cuts here are put together at a level that's maybe got as much understanding of the needs of the record racks and jukebox scene, as they are aimed at the higher ideals of the lyrics! Nashboro excelled especially in the sorts of small vocal groups that can make gospel singles from this time every bit as much a slice of harmony heavy as rare doo wop tracks – and titles here include "Seven Angels" by The Trumpeteers, "Just One Step" by Little Johnny Jones & The Little Jones Singers, "I Received My Blessing" by Radio Four, "Touch Me Lord Jesus" by Angelic Gospel Singers, "Give Me My Flowers" by The Consolers, "I Would Not Be A Sinner" by Dixie Nightingales, "Jesus Keeps Me Alive" by The Skylarks, "Sit Down Servant" by Swanee Quintet, "When Jesus Stays Home" by Southern Echoes Singers, and "Rest From My Labor" by Supreme Angels. 16 cuts in all – and very nicely done! Arthur BlytheElaborations ... LP
Columbia, 1982. Very Good ... $3.99
A beautiful moment in which the loft jazz generation really got a chance to shine in the mainstream – and mostly without any sense of overdone attempts at commercialization! The album's a great summation of all the ideas that reedman Arthur Blythe was cooking up in the 70s underground – performed here with a hip group that includes Blythe on alto, Kelvyn Bell on guitar, Abdul Wadud on cello, Bobby Battle on drums, Bob Stewart on tuba, Wilbur Morris on bass, and Mohammad Abdullah on congas – some of them players who you might never have expected to be recording for Columbia Records! And yet the setting of the record doesn't interfere with their creativity at all – and instead, really seems to give Blythe and the group the sort of focus that only makes their ideas even better – on titles that include "Elaborations", "Metamorphosis", "Sister Daisy", "Shadows", and "The Lower Nile". ✨✧ Jean CarneCollaborations ... LP
Expansion (UK), 1970s. Used 2LP ... Just Sold Out!
Smooth modern duets from one of our favorite ladies in soul music! Jean Carne's a heck of a singer – with a career that stretches back to early soul jazz recordings with (then) husband Doug Carn, to solo recordings on Philly International in the late 70s, to appearances on records by other artists – sessions from the 70s, 80s, and 90s in which Jean lent her vocals to a wealth of great recordings! This great collection focuses on work in that category – uncollected sides from a three decade period, brought together in one album that shows just how great Jean can sound when she's singing with other artists. Many of these titles are quite hard to find otherwise, and haven't even shown up on other collections of Jean's work – and tracks include "Good Thng Goin On" with Billy Paul, "Holdin On" and "Dreams Of Tomorrow" with Dexter Wansel, "Keep In Touch" and "The Look Of Love" with Grover Washington Jr, "Lean On Me" with Nathan Heathman, "If You Don't Know Me By Now" with The Temptations, "Love Is Beautiful" with Universe, "Star Flower" with Lonnie Liston Smith, "Let's Stay Together" with Bobby M, "I'm Back For More" with Al Johnson, "You Might Be Surprised" with Roy Ayers, "Mother Of The Future" with Norman Connors, and "Valentine Love" with Michael Henderson. Also features the bonus solo track "Trust Me" – never on CD before! LP, Vinyl record album

Polskie Nagrania (Poland), 1976. New Copy ... $18.99
Sweet electric jazz from 70s Poland – a really tripped-out set of keyboard tunes, almost an Eastern European take on the Herbie Hancock sound of the time! The group's led by keyboard maestro Janusz Grzywacz – who works here on Fender Rhodes, acoustic piano, and a Roland 2000 – hitting styles that range from straight and funky to electric and spacey – as much concerned with the overall sound of the set as with his own spirited solo work – and coming across with a soulful sound that's almost George Duke-ish at times! Titles include "Funky For Franka", "ABZ", "Crazy Shepherd", and "Modern Pentathlon". CD

70s Polish fusion at its finest, served up by the always-tight Laboratorium – a group who know when to jam at the right points, but who can also lay back into a spacier groove as well! This album does a good job of mixing in plenty of keyboards – Fender Rhodes and Arp, juxtaposed nicely next to some acoustic piano which rounds out the sound and gives the record a bit more of an earthy feel underneath. The guitars are nice too – never over the top, and following the spacier lead of the keys to create some expansive electric soundscapes as the set rolls on. Titles are a mix of very short and very long numbers – with titles that include "The Journey", "I'm Sorry I'm Not Driver", "Lady Rolland", "Quasimodo", and "An Icon". CD

Prestige, 1953. Used ... Temporarily Out Of Stock
Great vibes from the legendary Teddy Charles – a set that brings together some of his best early moments for Prestige Records! This full set combines two earlier 10" sessions recorded by Charles – both done in LA in 1953, in small group formations with Shorty Rogers on trumpet, Curtis Counce on bass, and Shelly Manne on drums – plus Jimmy Giuffre on tenor on a few added tracks! The tunes have more of a west coast groove than some of Charles later 50s work – but his tone and approach still keeps things nice and edgey – filled with those great tones and colors that made Teddy one of the most inventive players on vibes at the time. The other west coast players definitely rise to the occasion, playing with an modern style that's greater than usual – and titles include "Variations On A Motive By Bud", "Wailing Dervish", "Further Out", "Boabalob 1 & 2", and "Margo". The great Tony Allen has always been a hell of a collaborator – especially in his later years – and here, he makes some really wonderful music with Jeff Mills – a criss-crossing of acoustic and electric percussion patterns that are every bit as hypnotic as Allen's early material, but in a completely different way! The set features Tony on drums, Jeff on drum machines and electronics, and Jean Phi Dary on keyboards – a much leaner groove than you might be used to for a Tony Allen record – but in a way that makes for sounds that are even more rhythmic overall, and which provide a stunning showcase of Allen's love talents on the drums next to a machine! Way more than just an album with Gene Ammons as a leader – and instead, a set that truly earns the "all stars" listed on the cover – thanks to a great array of supporting players, and a very loose, open-ended jam session style that lets everyone get in plenty of solo space! Ammons' tenor is tremendous, but he's also a great collaborator here, too – working with Idrees Suliman on trumpet, Pepper Adams on baritone, Mal Waldron on piano, Art Taylor on drums, Doug Watkins on bass, and Ray Barretto on conga – in a mode that's maybe slightly tighter than some of the blowing sessions Prestige was doing at the time, but which still has that key longform creative energy that made the hardbop generation so great. Titles include "Blue Gene", "Scamperin", "Blue Greens n Beans", and "Hip Tip" – and all tracks are long, with plenty of focus on solos! LP, Vinyl record album

A beautiful collaboration between two of the most important forces in leftfield music in the early 80s – multi-media artist Laurie Anderson and modern string legends Kronos Quartet – coming together here in an extended Anderson composition inspired by the experience of Hurricane Sandy! It's been years since we've last heard from Laurie, and she's really returned to her roots here – still using her voice a bit, but also playing violin a fair bit too, along with keyboards, samples, percussion, and lots of her unusual filters and other electronic elements. Most selections are sort, and work together beautifully – almost in territory that might be described as a string quartet take on the modes of United States. Titles include "All The Extinct Animals", "Built You A Mountain", "Darkness Falls", "Dreams Translated", "The Water Rises", "Our Street Is A Black River", "Nothing Left But Their Names", "Thunder Continues In The Aftermath", "Old Motors & Helicopters", and "Everything Is Floating". Here he reworks the Studio One classic "Skylarking" as a "Better Version" with Lee, and there's a number of pieces cut at Tubby's with the aid of Prince Jammy (who contributed a nice sound to the In the Light set, also issued by Blood & Fire), like the massive "Pure Ranking" in it's full 8+ minute 12" disco mix version. Polydor, 1981. Used ... Just Sold Out!
Roy Ayers in a very Afro-styled mode – working here on his own after a famous collaboration with Fela Kuti – in a set that's filled with the same sort of hard-driving Afro-Funk grooves that you'd find in Fela's classic recordings! The songs are shorter than Fela's, and with more of Roy's usual smooth jazzy production style – but the overall influence is very much in the Afro-Funk vein, and the album's sort of a "part 2" to the Music Of Many Colors set that was cut a few years before. William Allen worked on the record with Roy – playing choppy Afro-Funk bass, and arranging and producing a lot of the material with Roy and Jaymz Bedford – and the record also features a host of extra percussion players, as well as some vocals by the lovely Sylvia Striplin. Includes the great groover "Africa, Center Of The World", plus "The River Niger", and a great remake of "Third Eye", which was on Everybody Loves The Sunshine, but is redone here with a heavier sound! Other tracks include "There's A Masterplan", "I'll Just Keep Trying", and "Destination Motherland". LP, Vinyl record album

A really special record from a really special group – one of two sublime 70s gems from Azteca – a wicked blend of jazz, funk, Latin, and soul – all put together by a young Coke Escovedo! Coke's ostensibly the leader of the group, but there's also a richly collaborative feel going on – a style that brings together jazz players like Tom Harrell on trumpet, Mel Martin on saxes, George Muribus on Fender Rhodes, and Flip Nunez on organ – and Latin players like Victor Pantoja on congas, Coke Escovedo on timbales, and Pete Escovedo on added percussion. In fact, the set's a key early example of the strength of the Escovedo family – and like their best later efforts, the set really stretches out and pushes the boundaries of conventional genres. There's also some great guest work from Lenny White on drums, Mike Nock on keyboards, and Neal Schon on guitars – and vocals are by a range of singers who really keep things fresh. This is Gary Bartz's second (and most amazing) collaboration with Larry Mizell – a studio genius who could focus on the best talent of a jazz artist, then expand it using additional keyboards, percussion, and often a sweet bank of chorus vocals to give the tracks an extra soulful sound! By the time of this album, Larry had already worked to great fame with Donald Byrd, Bobbi Humphrey, and Johnny Hammond – and the record has him turning his talents towards Gary Bartz to unlock a whole hidden side of soulful expression that would never be matched again! The title cut – "Music Is My Sanctuary" – is a jazz fusion classic in anyone's book, and it features characteristic Mizell keyboards alongside Gary's soulful sax, augmented by a deep vocal chorus that's simply fantastic. Other highlights include "Carnaval De L'Esprit" and "Macaroni" – and the whole album's nice! CD

✨✧ Gary BartzSingerella – A Ghetto Fairy Tale ... LP
Prestige, 1974. Very Good+ ... $24.99
One of the last Gary Bartz albums for Prestige – and a really unique session with a different feel than some of his earlier work! Gary's still got plenty of angular funk in his sound here – thanks to some edgey keyboards from Hubert Eaves – but he's also tightened things up a bit without smoothing them out – cutting down on the longer jams in favor of a more focused approach, and singing himself on many cuts, taking on the quirky lyrical role that used to be held by Andy Bey! Bartz also produced the record himself, but Larry Mizell handled the final mix – giving the record a slightly spacier Mizell-inflected groove, but one that's not as full as on other Bartz/Mizell collaborations. The vocals here are all pretty great, and the album's filled with oddly-grooving tunes that really have a heck of a lot of charm – including the call-response track "Dozens", plus "I Don't Care", "Lady Love", "St Felix Street", "Nation Time", and "Blind Man". Buda (France), 2018. New Copy ... $16.99
An even more fantastic album than the previous effort from this very cool combo – a set that has long tracks that really let the group build up their sound – all with a vibe that lives up to the cover proclamation of "music for the people by the people with the people"! That credo definitely comes through in the richly collaborative, strongly organic nature of the music – basslines and percussion that build up in this long-flowing wave of sound – with lead vocals that trade off with the group, all at a level that almost has the righteous energy of a spiritual jazz session of the 70s – but with a much more tribal vibe! There's a wonderfully positive spirit to the whole record, even if you can't follow the lyrics – and titles include the long cuts "Moya" and "Insimbi" – plus the shorter "Nobody Knows". Regina BelleShow Me The Way – The Columbia Anthology ... CD
Columbia/Soulmusic.com (UK), Late 80s/Early 90s. New Copy 2CD ... $15.99
A great collection of work from Regina Belle – one that features a number of remixes, singles, and collaborations – as well as the album tracks that made her one of the most rock-solid female soul singers at the end of the 80s! At some level, Regina's a singer from another time – the kind of vocalist with a soaring, powerful style that would have been right at home in both the club styles and mellower modes of the 70s – but which also makes for a great match here in an assortment of catchy tunes, quiet storm numbers, and some great midtempo charmers. Given the more electric instrumentation often used in these productions, the richness of Belle's voice really helps ground these tunes – and the package features a total of 29 tracks that include "Love TKO", "You Got The Love (rmx)", "Show Me The Way", "Please Be Mine", "After The Love Has Lost Its Shine", "How Could You Do It To Me (rmx)", "Good Lovin", "Make It Like It Was", "I'll Be Around", "You Make Me Feel Brand New", "So Many Tears (cool mix)", "Someday We'll All Be Free/Save The Children", "Interlude/Passion", and "Do You Wanna Get Serious" – plus duets "Better Together" with Johnny Mathis, "I Can't Imagine" with Peabo Bryson, and "All I Want Is Forever" by JT Taylor. Sun/Matsuli (UK), 1976. New Copy (reissue)... $24.99
One of the coolest albums ever from vocalist Sathima Bea Benjamin – and a set that really shows her strong ties to the South African jazz scene of the 70s! The album was done in close collaboration with husband Dollar Brand – who turns in some sublime arrangements for the record, which stand as some of his greatest music of the time – tracks that stretch out and reach forth with a sense of soul and spirit that goes way beyond the usual – and which also really set fire to Benjamin's vocals as well! The tunes all feature original lyrics by Sathima, and have this powerful, righteous quality that we've hardly ever heard expressed this well on other records – and instrumentation features work by a great lineup that includes Billy Brooks on trumpet, Basil Coetzee on flute and tenor, Louis Spears on bass, and Dollar Brand himself on piano. Titles include the very long classic "Africa" – plus "Music" and "African Songbird". LP, Vinyl record album

Josh BermanDance & A Hop ... CD
Delmark, 2015. Used ... $5.99
Tremendous work from the great Josh Berman – one of the most important musicians on the Chicago underground scene of the past decade or so – not just for his work on cornet, but also for his warmly collaborative and supportive spirit! That quality really comes through here – on a trio date that has Josh's horn with Jason Roebke on bass and Frank Rosaly on drums – all working together in this very special, very individual style – one that seems to embrace so many different decades of jazz at once – from the early trad phraseologists admired by Berman, to the postwar modern that's resurfaced in the recent Chicago scene, to the 21st Century experiments that all three members have engaged in! All the music is composed, but the performance has a looseness that almost feels improvised – save for the sense of cohesion in the tunes, and that no player ever steps too far outside – even though all of them are pretty darn freewheeling. We're not sure we've ever even heard a cornet trio before – but even if we had, there's never been anything like this – as you'll hear on titles that include "Cold Snap", "Today's Date", "Mint", "Your Uncle", "Time/Trouble", "Wooden", "Bridges", and "Luggage". Chess, 1958. Good+ ... $14.99
One dozen "berrys", all of them great – the fresh fruits of the labors of a young Chuck Berry – heard here at his raw, early best! The sound here is stunning – a version of Chuck that gets way past any oldies cliches – and which reminds us that at the start, his music was coming from the same Chess Records fount as Bo Diddley's riffing guitar and Muddy Waters' Chicago blues! The tunes all work together perfectly – and the familiar numbers fit in perfectly with overlooked gems that really make the album great – especially when Chuck's guitar is really given a chance to step out and solo. Titles include "La Juanda", "Sweet Little Sixteen", "It Don't Take But A Few Minutes", "Rock & Roll Music", and "Low Feeling". LP, Vinyl record album

A classic-styled Brazilian live collaboration – a set with solo performances by each of the stars in the lead, and some great duet material together! The approach is one that's been used on Brazilian albums from the earliest records by Elis Regina and Jair Rodriguez – and it's still a fantastic way to present two strong singers in their best light – as Maria Bethania seems to hit a whole new level of warmth when singing alongside Zeca Pagodinho! Arrangements for Zeca's tracks are by Paulao De 7 Cordas, and Maria's are by Jaime Alem – and the set begins and ends with a number of duets, and features solo passages in the middle. Titles include "Sono Meu", "Samba Pras Mocas", "Vai Vadiar", "Adalgisa/Falsa Baiana", "Iluminada", "Pano Legal/Safe Socaite", "Reconvexo", "Gente Humilde", "Amaro A Xerem", "Naquela Mesa", "Desde O Samba E Samba", and "Verdade". The album has Joao getting help from Joao Donato, Radames Gnatalli, Wilson Das Neves, Waltel Blanco – and other able players who help keep things tight without losing the album's soul – and most of the tunes on the set were composed in collaboration with Aldir Blanc, co-writer of some of Joao's best work. One of the three great collaborations between David Bowie and Brian Eno – and possibly the ultimate statement from his years in Berlin! The album's got some tunes that still show some of the guitar power of the early 70s Bowie – but it's also got some of the beautiful spacier moments brought forward on Low – and which are every bit the Brian Eno of Another Green World. The balance is beautiful – stark and dark on one half, then airy and spacious on the next – handled without any sense of gimmickry, and a bold mainstream experiment that still resonates strongly today. Sheree BrownStraight Ahead ... LP
Capitol, 1981. Near Mint- ... $6.99
A wonderful album of breezy jazzy soul from the sweet voiced Sheree Brown! The record is one of two that Brown cut for Capitol, and it was produced by Richard Rudolph – husband and collaborator of the late Minnie Riperton – in the immediate years after Minnie's death, leading us to wonder if Rudolph was trying for another hit with a different female vocalist. This LP's got a bit of a Minnie Riperton-ish feel, but Sheree also brings a lot more to the session – including some nice guitar work, and a sophisticated soul style that's kind of in a Jean Carn mode. Features the wonderful jazzy stepper "It's A Pleasure", which has a compressed jazz funk groove, and bouncy vocals over the top. Other trakcs include "I Wanna Be By Your Side", "Happiness Flows", and "Everything You Do". Very nice stuff, and a lot harder to find than it should be! LP, Vinyl record album

Paul BryantGroove Time ... LP
Fantasy, Early 60s. Very Good+ ... $14.99
Excellent lost organ jazz LP on Fantasy featuring west coast organist Paul Bryant, with a quartet that includes Gene Edwards on guitar, Johnny Kirkwood on drums, and the great Plas Johnson on tenor – in one of his best-ever (and few) straight jazz performances. The set's got a nice stripped down organ groove, and is a hallmark recording of some of the more soulful stuff that Fantasy was doing at the time. Bryant's got a good clear sound, and he plays with a bit more fire than he does on the earlier albums he made with Curtis Amy. Johnson is excellent, and this set's just about the only way you can really hear him wail on tenor – since he made so many other records with strings or other more elaborate instrumentation. Tracks include "Two Minors", "Walrus Whiskers", "Evol", and "Funky Mountain". LP, Vinyl record album

Buffalo SpringfieldWhat's That Sound – Complete Albums Collection (Buffalo Springfield/Buffalo Springfield Again/Last Time Around/stereo & mono) (5CD set) ... CD
Atlantic, Late 60s. New Copy 5CD ... $35.99 39.98
The complete albums of Buffalo Springfield – two of which are presented here in mono and stereo mixes, all supervised by Neil Young himself! First up is the self-titled Buffalo Springfield – a warmly collaborative record that would set the scene for countless work to come from the LA scene! Right from the start, there's something special going on here – a bit of the twang the Byrds were exploring at the time, and a very strong move past any sort of folk tendencies any of the group members might have had a few years before – but all without going into some of the too-sunny styles that were peaking in west coast pop. Instead, there's this current of darkness and subtle wit that really shines through – all without any psychedelic indulgence, and balanced perfectly amidst the guitars of Steven Stills, Richie Furay, and Neil Young – each of whom get a chance to sing on the record too. Bassist Bruce Palmer and drummer Dewey Martin complete the group – and titles include the classic "For What It's Worth" – plus "Nowadays Clancy Can't", "Leave", "Pay The Price", "Burned", "Do I Have To Come Right Out & Say It", and "Everybody's Wrong". Next is Buffalo Springfield Again – a record that's way more than just "again" – that is, a recap of the first Buffalo Springfield classic – as the set not only has the group really exploding forward, but also the individual members taking these strong steps on their own that really point towards their big legacies to follow! Neil Young grabs us with darkness on the first tune, Richie Furay warms us with some country strains on the next, and Stephen Stills moves into a space that's very much his own on the next – yet throughout it all, the record has this sense of unity that really holds up over the years – giving us depth that makes the whole thing an amazing listen time and time again. There's some key help along the way – a bit of piano from Don Randi, electric piano from Jack Nitzsche, and even some recording help from Jim Messina – all furthering the warmth of the group's approach. Titles include "Mr Soul", "Sad Memory", "Hung Upside Down", "Good Time Boy", "Rock & Roll Woman", "Broken Arrow", "A Child's Claim To Fame", and "Expecting To Fly". Last up is Last Time Around – not just the last by Buffalo Springfield, it also really shows the key members striving for a solo voice of their own! The set was released after Buffalo Springfield had already broken up, and a number of the tracks within are near-solo projects handled by Neil Young, Richie Furay, and Stephen Stills – although there's also some of those great duets that really have the group spirit shining so strongly. Jim Messina produced, and really makes sense of the material together as a whole – on titles that include "It's So Hard To Wait", "Four Days Gone", "Carefree Country Day", "Special Care", "The Hour Of Not Quite Rain", "Questions", "I Am A Child", "On The Way Home", and "Kind Woman". 5CD package features new remastering right from the original tapes, supervised by Neil Young – and the mono version of the first album is different from the stereo, which has one less track! Also features mono and stereo versions of Buffalo Springfield again – and all albums come in original mini LP sleeves. CD

American cities were going through tremendous changes in the 60s and 70s – changes that not only had an impact on local citizens, businesses, and municipal forces – but also on the art community as well! This book showcases a tremendous response to urban upheaval by artists in New York, Chicago, and Los Angeles – presenting images of artworks created during the decades, and also photographic documents of performances, demonstrations, and other creative activities – sometimes juxtaposed against mainstream media, and balanced with a huge amount of text by the authors. The range of material in here is tremendous – the Chicago section alone is mindblowing – and the book also features contributions from other writers who include Paula Massood, Josh Glick, Eric Avila, Max Page, Leslie Wilson, and others. A pretty full-on group from the Virginia scene – one that comes on strong with a mix of funky drums, fuzzy guitar, bumping bass, and some great work on trumpet and keyboards! The groove here is almost a psychedelic take on jazz funk from years back – filtered into a very contemporary space, too – almost post-Medeski Martin & Wood, although nothing like that group at all – just in the kind of space that the new freedoms of recent years have opened up! In other words, these guys are pretty funky, but also not slavishly so – especially in any sort of retro mode – and although they're playing live here, there's an electric crackle to the whole proceedings that further ties their collaborative energy together. Linda has a proud presence that really matches that of her better-known sisters in the City Of Brotherly Love – and she's singing here with a strong sense of personality that really sets the album apart from other female disco albums of the era. One of the greatest examples of this is her stunning "Runaway Love" – which has a bad-rapping, almost Marlena Shaw-esque monologue in the middle – but other tracks are equally nice, and include "Gypsy Lady", "If My Friends Could See Me Now", "Broadway Gypsy Lady", "You Are You Are", and "I Feel Like Falling In Love Again". Arrangements are by Gil Askey – who also produced the set in collaboration with Curtis Mayfield! CD features the bonus tracks "Runaway Love (12" mix)", "Gypsy Lady (12" mix)", and "If My Friends Could See Me Now (12" mix)". CD

Curtom/Blixa Sounds, 1980. New Copy ... $13.99 14.98
A great collaboration between Linda Clifford and Isaac Hayes – done at a time when Hayes was really hitting his dancefloor stride! Ike's sound here is actually pretty great – arguably warmer and more deeply soulful than on some of Linda's other records from the time, and without too much drama. The style works wonderfully for Clifford's vocals – holding them in check and giving them great focus, especially on the midtempo numbers that sparkle with great instrumentation. Titles include "Shoot Your Best Shot", "I Had A Talk With My Man", "It Don't Hurt No More", "Red Light", "If You Let Me", and "I'm Yours". CD features bonus single versions of "Shoot Your Best Shot" and "I Had A Talk With My Man". CD

Mercury/Universal (Japan), 1960. New Copy ... $13.99
One of the best albums that Al Cohn and Zoot Sims ever cut together – and that's saying a lot, given the strength of their collaborations during the 50s and 60s! The set's got a nice small group feeling, and is a bit more open and relaxed than some of their RCA material – still in the sharp, thoughtful mode that marked both Cohn and Sims' sessions – but also a bit more earthy, too – possibly because they've got Mose Allison in the combo on piano. The album includes the incredible spare sax-only track "Improvisation For Unaccompanied Saxophones", which is an extremely haunting track that sounds unlike anything the pair had ever done together – and other titles have the full quintet playing, tunes that include "The Opener", "The Note" and "You N Me". Fremeaux & Associates (France), 1960. New Copy ... Just Sold Out!
A dream of a collaboration – the great Nat King Cole in his prime, getting some mighty hip backings from the equally great Quincy Jones – who gives Nat a jazzy push that he wasn't always getting on his Capitol Records sessions of the time! The performance was recorded live in Paris on the same 1960 tour that has given us a few other rare Cole/Jones collaborations – but this one may well be the best of the bunch, as the fidelity is great – with an equal balance on Nat's wonderful vocal phrasing, and all the strongly soulful elements that Quincy brings to the band. Titles include "Tickle Toe", "Lester Leaps In", "Dance Ballerina Dance", "The Continental", "Darling Je Vous Aime Beaucoup", "Route 66", "It's Only A Paper Moon", "Joe Turner's Blues", "Welcome To The Club", "Blues In The Night", and "Thou Swell". Bootsy Collins has always been a very collaborative artist – from his early work in the James Brown Band, to his famous recordings with George Clinton, to his own albums – which often included most of the leading lights of the P-Funk universe! That collaborative spirit is alive and well here – as Bootsy opens the door to invite a huge host of guests from the worlds of funk, soul, and hip hop – all to augment his groove, and help his classic music find a way to live anew in the contemporary generation! Nearly every track here has at least one guest – most have many more – and the album features contributions from Musique Soulchild, Doug E Fresh, Big Daddy Kane, Stanley Clarke, Victor Wooten, Dru Down, Mc Eiht, Bernie Worrell, Chuck D, Buckheat, and many others – all of whom participate in the general party vibe of the set. Titles include "Pusherman", "Thera-P", "World Wide Funk", "Candy Coated Lover", "A Salute To Bernie", "Hi On Heels", "Snow Bunny", "Worth My Wile", and "Come Back Bootsy". CD

Alice Coltrane & Carlos SantanaIlluminations ... CD
Columbia/Vocalion (UK), 1974. New Copy ... $18.99
A really mindblowing collaboration between two of the most spiritual mainstream musicians of the early 70s – legendary guitarist Carlos Santana and spiritual jazz guru Alice Coltrane! The set came at a time when Santana was reaching for much deeper ideas in both his music and his personal life – and Coltrane turned out to be a perfect creative fit, as she'd already been down the path with her own music for years – and helps Carlos here find an incredible setting that really lets his new vision take flight! The album's a very collaborative effort – with Alice on piano, organ, and harp – but Coltrane also brings in some fuller arrangements on half of the tracks – really opening things up, alongside other musicians who include Jack DeJohnette on drums, Dave Holland on bass, Jules Broussard on soprano sax and flute, and Tom Coster on both acoustic and electric piano. The strings are sublime – as heavenly as on Alice's own records – and titles include "Angel Of Air Angel Of Water", "Bliss The Eternal Now", "Angel Of Sunlight", "Illuminations", and "Guru Sri Chinmoy Aphorism". Nicola Conte & Gianluca PetrellaAfrican Spirits/New World Shuffle ... 12-inch
Schema (Italy), 2017. New Copy (pic cover)... $16.99
A record that's way more than just the 12" single you might guess from the format – as it's a wonderfully deep collaboration between Nicola Conte and trombonist Gianluca Petrella – done at a level that's maybe more like a spiritual jazz record overall! "African Spirits" definitely has a groove – the sort you'll know from other Conte records – but it's less bossa and more tribal, with lots of percussion layered in the mix, as well as rising voices that feel borrowed from other records – all blended with a righteous energy that's more in Osunlade territory than usual for Schema! The tune's got a very powerful set of solos – strong tenor, and even bolder trombone from Petrella – and "New World Shuffle" is even rawer at the core, but features strongly soulful vocals from Bridgette Amofah, and some great keyboards too! Both tracks are nice and long, too. 12-inch, Vinyl record

Nicola Conte is completely at the top of his game here – showing us yet another level of his mighty jazz-based talents – some deeper spiritual currents than ever before, mixed with a good dose of global influences too! The record has Conte working with a hip Spiritual Galaxy ensemble, filled with key talents from labels that include Schema, Brownswood, and modern Blue Note – artists that are helping redefine the deepest currents of contemporary music, and who seem to soar even farther under the leadership of Nicola! There's vocals on most tracks – from singers who include Bridgette Amofah, Zara McFarlane, Carolina Bubbico, and Zoe Modica – but the album's equally heavy on the instrumental tip – as it includes performances from Logan Richardson on alto, Magnus Lindgren on tenor and flute, Theo Croker on trumpet, Pietro Lussu on keyboards, and Gianluca Petrella on trombone and moog. Most titles are originals, written in close collaboration with members of the group – and titles include "Uhuru Na Umoja", "Cosmic Peace", "Mystic Revelation Of The Gods", "Space Dimensions", "Tribes From The Unknown", "Afro Black", and "Essence Of The Sun". Yes! The previous Stones Throw vinyl single by former James Brown drummer and 80s underground funky soul jam generator Tony Cook was a total win (and featured a collaboration with electro devotee Dam Funk, to boot) – and this one's even better! "Video Rock" is a solid jam recorded by Cook at some earlier juncture, but never released before now, timed prefectly given the amazing resurgence of 80s style club funk! Gal CostaGal (1969) ... CD
Philips/Mercury (Brazil), 1969. New Copy ... $15.99
Heady heady work from the legendary Gal Costa – caught here right at her early best, smack dab in the middle of the Tropicalia years! The album's one of Gal's legendary collaborations with arranger Rogerio Duprat – and it's very much in the spirit of her other incredible session from 1969, but also features some even heavier and more tripped out guitar – in a way that really pushes the psychedelic aspect of the work! The sound here is really amazing – very fuzzy and freaky at times, in ways that make the album one of the most rocking sets of the entire Tropicalia scene, but in ways that still hang onto the quirky experimental qualities of work by Os Mutantes or Caetano Veloso. Gal's vocals really rip out amazingly at times – light years away from the sweet sound of the late 70s, and more in the frenetic, urgent style you'd expect from the politically-charged scene that spawned the set. Caetano Veloso and Gilberto Gil join Gal on a great version of "Pais Tropical", Jards Macale guest stars on the classic "Empty Boat" – and other tracks include "Tuareg", "Meu Nome E Gal", "Pulsars E Quasars", and "Cultura E Civilizaco". Yamandu CostaRecanto ... CD
Bagual (Brazil), 2018. New Copy ... $22.99
A great little set from guitarist Yamandu Costa – one that follows in the legacy of previous albums of Brazilian guitar, but which also draws plenty of inspiration from the larger South American scene as well! Costa originally intended the set as a solo record, but soon found himself working in modes influenced by sounds from Colombia, Argentina, Cuba, Peruo, and Paraguay – which opened up a need to collaborate with a few other musicians alongside his deft work on the strings – Guto Wirtti on bass, Armando Marcal on percussion, Ernesto Fagundes on bombo, and Martin Sued on bandoneon. The different styles work together nicely as a suite – almost an acoustic guitar take on the Latin America recordings by Gato Barbieri in the early 70s – and titles include "Amigo Juan", "Chegada", "Mangore", "Scherzando", "Recanto", "Valdeos", "Paraguayta", and "La Catedral". A classic collaboration between Celia Cruz and Johnny Pacheco – one that uses the rootsier sounds of Pacheco's tumbao group to further focus the energy of Celia's vocals! The record's got a solid, cohesive feel that makes it easily one of the best Celia Cruz sessions of the 70s – a focus that no doubt comes from the sharp arrangements by Louie Ramirez, Bobby Valentin, Johnny Pacheco, and Papo Lucca – the latter of whom plays piano in Pacheco's group on the record. Charlie Rodriguez plays tres on a number of tracks, further enforcing the roosty element of the music – and titles include "Cuala", "Oriza Eh", "La Sopa En Botella", "No Aguanto Mas", "Rico Changui", and "Ni Hablar". Gronland (Germany), 1993. New Copy ... $13.99 14.98
Holger Czukay works here with many of his frequent musical partners – including Jah Wobble, Jaki Liebeziet, and Michael Karoli – but the album actually feels a bit more like his then-recent collaborations with David Sylvian – more concerned with subtle shifts in sound and space than the quirkier elements of most of Holger's albums from the 80s! There are vocals on the record, but they're not always the main attraction – and there's an overall deeper, darker texture to the whole record – with lots of shadowy elements in the production. While the Czukay approach of the previous decade might have been a lot of sharp shifts and cuts, this time around he's more working in a wide sonic palette that comes together as a cohesive whole. Funky drums and a whole lot more – a crackling Blue Note album from Chris Dave & The Drumhedz – maybe one of the few on the label to ever carry a parental advisory sticker! The sticker's well-placed, though – as Chris doesn't just drum, but also opens the door for a host of strong guest stars to provide plenty of lyrical content – a large lineup that includes Anderson.Paak, Bilal, Tweet, Sy Smith, Donald Rose, Krndn, Sir, Stokley Williams, Eric Roberson, Phone Coleman, Goapele, Anna Wise, Shafiq Husayn, and others – all of whom bring enough range of expression to match the energy of the Black Radio project from Robert Glasper! Like those records, this set's one that you never would have expected from Blue Note years back – but it's also a great example of the way the label's trying to find a new energy of expression in jazz – as Dave's drums work with keyboards from James Poyser, organ from Marcus Hodge, guitar from Isaiah Sharkey, and other great instrumental contributions from the likes of Keyon Harrold, Miguel Atwood-Ferguson, and DJ Jazzy Jeff. The sound of the set is as diverse as its many collaborators – and titles include "Job Well Done", "Lady Jane", Trippy Tipsy", "Universal Language", "Rocks Crying", "Spread Her Wings", "Destiny N Stereo", "Clear View", "Atlanta Texas", "Whatever", "Sensitive Granite", "Cosmic Intercourse", "Dat Feelin", and "Black Hole". Together, the material offers up a beautiful live portrait of Davis' early 60s genius – allowed a bit more space to roam in the live setting, on titles that include "So What", "New Rhumba", "Lament", and "No Blues" – all taken at a bit of a faster clip than in the studio, as Miles was wont to do in a live performance! Given the strong use of acoustic guitar on the original Julie London album, the shift is one that's still nicely faithful to the classic – but Cris Delanno's got maybe a slightly less melancholy style to her voice, which perfectly fits the sprightly guitar of Faria. Amazing work by The Delfonics – their first 2 albums, back to back on a single CD! La La Means I Love You is a landmark album in harmony soul – one of those records that pushed the genre to a whole new level! The Delfonics emerge fully formed here as one of the most compelling groups of their time – a tremendous trio with a really unique approach to soul music – one that's heartfelt and heartbreaking, but never too sweet to be cloying or poppy – definitely just the right groove to keep things hip while also cracking the charts! The album's their first full collaboration with legendary producer Thom Bell – and it's got a sound that's summed up perfectly in the quintessential cut "La La Means I Love You" – and which is followed through beautifully on a batch of tracks that includes "Losing You", "Can You Remember", "You're Gone", "I'm Sorry", and "Break Your Promise". Sound Of Sexy Soul is an equally groundbreaking album of vocal group soul – right from the first note! The record kicks off with the sublime "Ready Or Not, Here I Come" – which starts with fierce stepping strings that are actually funky, then soars into some of the best harmonies the group ever put to record, superbly arranged by the great Thom Bell, who also wrote the track. As the album progresses, the sound expands further to encompass many elements that would become the blueprint for vocal groups over the next few years – like twangy electric sitar, cascading orchestrations, and pinched lead vocals that take a lot more chances than most group singers had been taking for years! There's still a bit of a 60s soul sound to some of the cuts, but the album's a watershed – not only for Thom Bell and the group, but for harmony soul as well! Titles include "Ready Or Not Here I Come", "My New Love", "Loving Him", "With These Hands", "Somebody Loves You", and "Everytime I See My Baby". CD also features the bonus track "You Got Yours & I'll Get Mine". CD

That's "Take Ten", not "Take Five" – a great title cut that echoes Paul Desmond's previous work with Dave Brubeck – but which then gives way quickly to some sweet bossa-styled grooves done with guitar from Jim Hall! The album's one of the strongest of the Hall/Desmond collaborations for RCA – A sublime showcase not just for Paul's impeccable alto, but also for the amazing tones and chromes that fly freely from the strings of Jim's guitar! Both players are set up with just a bit of gentle backing – light percussion from Connie Kay, and a bit of bass from Gene Cherico or Gene Wright. The whole thing's a well-conceived study in economy, as the two players craft sly and subtle lines around spare drum and bass backings – slowly hanging sound in space to weave a rich web of sound that's as compelling as it seems to be effortless! Titles include "Take Ten", "El Prince", "Embarcadero", "Samba De Orfeu", "Theme From Black Orpheus", and "Alone Together". CD

✨✧ DJ Jazzy JeffMagnificent ... CD
Rapster (UK), 2002. Used ... $6.99
Jazzy Jeff's return after much too long a hiatus. Just when we were on the verge of giving up, with too many radio ready hot jams and abstract non-funky off beat rappers being passed off as the real hip hop these days, BBE continues with it's series of albums focusing on producers. While many of you are probably ready to write off Jazzy Jeff for his long time commercial collaboration with Will Smith, the originator of the transformer has always been dope to us, and comes up with the goods here, still in fine form on the fader and with his beats (though he didn't produce all the tracks). 17 tracks of jazzed out hip hop, with a great laid back vibe and vocals by Baby Blak, Pauly Yamz, The Last Emperor, Freddie Fox, J-Live and a bunch of others, plus the dope cut "We Live In Philly" that features Jill Scott reciting a poem over the Roy Ayers "we Live In Brooklyn" loop, that name checks tons of ball players and Philly hip hop notables, even some old shoe styles from back in the day. There's also one house track, with an uplifting vibe courtesy Masters At Work, but the rest is straight up hip hop. Includes "Scram", "Shake It Off", 'Worldwide", "Charmed Life", "How I Do", "Know Ur Hood" and "For Da Love Of Da Game" CD

DJ SpinnaHere To There ... LP
Beat Generation (UK), 2003. Near Mint- 2LP ... $9.99
BBE keeps up their flawless track record, propping up yet another of hip hop's finest producers in their terrific Beat Generation series, this time spotlighting the man who's name graced every other dope underground single from the late 90s onward. And as you might hope for, he's fully in his element here, spanning the full spectrum of modern beat wizardry, but with his signature touch on the filtered samples and smooth, tight beats – a sound that looks back on the sophisticated fusion of CTI, Dexter Wansel and the Mizell Brothers and integrates it into contemporary soul and hip hop deftly. Guest spots read like a new groove who's who, with everyone from longtime collaborators like Apani B Fly, Ticklah and The Jigmastas to members of Soulive and Shaun Escoffery taking a turn. 16 tracks in all, including "Drive", "Tune You Out", "Galactic Soul", "Idols", "All Up In It", "You Got To Live", "Rock (Unplugged)", "Fly Or Burn", "Music In Me (Come Alive)" and "The Originator". Joao Donato, Carlos Lyra, Marcos Valle, & RobertoOs Bossa Nova (with bonus tracks) ... CD
Biscoito Fino (Brazil), 2008. New Copy ... $15.99
A really warm and wonderful little record – one that features the collaborative talents of these four bossa nova giants, all coming together in a really relaxed, intimate setting! Although most of these artists didn't work together in the 60s, they all share a very similar spirit, and come together beautifully here – all four working together on the first and last track in the set, then splitting apart to work in smaller duos, and each take a track or two on their own. Instrumentation is mostly small combo, and warmly jazzy – and Valle, Lyra, Menescal, and Donato all handle the arrangements too – furthering the collaborative spirit of the set. Titles include "Balansamba", "Ate Quem Sabe", "Tereza Da Praia", "Ate O Fim", "Bewitched", "Sextante", "Gente", "Vagamente", "De Um Jeito Diferente", and "Ciume". This 2018 version has 2 extra tracks: "Ultimo Aviso" & "Sambeando". 16 in all. CD

Dr JohnRemedies/Desitively Bonnaroo ... CD
Atlantic/BGO (UK), Early 70s. New Copy 2CD ... $14.99
Two funky classics from Dr John – back to back in a single set! First up is Remedies, one of the records that made Dr John a legend back in the day – a set that steps off from New Orleans roots into a world of weird funk, tripped-out sounds, and lots and lots of super-heavy grooves! The album's got a nicely exploratory vibe – as the first side features shorter funky cuts, but the second half really stretches out, and features a side-long track that has the Doctor at his most freewheeling – mixing deep currents from soul and blues with all the great ear for studio techniques he'd developed over the years – fused into a sound that's almost a fantasy of a soulful subculture in the swamps. Titles include "Loop Garoo", "Wash Mama Wash", "What Goes Around Comes Around", "Mardi Gras Day", and "Chippy Chippy" – plus the side-long "Angola Anthem". Desitively Bonnaroo is filled with tight funky work from Dr John – a second collaboration with producer Allen Toussaint, and a set that follows strongly on their Right Place record of the year before! The groove's not as messed-up as on the first few Atlantic records by the Doctor – but in it's place is a sweet electric funk mode, kind of an update on 60s New Orleans grooves – handled here by The Meters and a host of other key players from the Crescent City scene! Toussaint's production and arrangements are tight, but never slick at all – still much earthier than the later work, especially that on Warner Brothers, that was handled by the producer. And the tunes have a good focus that keeps Dr John on track lyrically – even though we'll admit that our main love of this record comes from the keyboards, bass, and funky drums! Titles include "Stealin", "What Comes Around (Goes Around)", "Mos' Scocious", "Rite Away", "R U 4 Real", "Let's Make A Better World", "Sing Along Song", "Go Tell The People", "Quitters Never Win", and "Can't Git Enuff". Jesse Dulman QuartetLive At Downtown Music Gallery (180 gram pressing) ... LP
RR Gems (Estonia), 2018. New Copy ... $24.99
There's just a handful of musicians who've been able to make amazing music on the tuba over the years – maybe Joe Daley, or the great Ray Draper, who recorded early with John Coltrane. And to that list, we might add Jesse Dulman – a musician who's labored in greater obscurity, in the farther reaches of the New York scene – territory that he uses for a great comeback scene, recorded in the basement of the Downtown Music Gallery on the lower east side! Dulman's got fantastic collaborators here – Ras Moshe on tenor and Dave Sewelson on baritone and sopranino sax – both reed musicians whose sense of texture really resonates with Jesse at the best moment – as Dulman uses his instrument to move between basslines and more outside melodic passages. Leonid Galaganov plays drums and percussion – and titles include "Thanks To William Parker", "Confusion", "Making Amends To Chelsea The Neighborhood", and "Homage To Charles McGee, Kalaparusha Maurice McIntyre, & Will Connell". Earth OperaEarth Opera ... LP
Elektra, 1968. Near Mint- Gatefold ... $11.99
A great debut LP by a near-forgotten act that blossomed briefly at the end of the 60s folk-rock boom – and deserve more than sidebar status in the book of modern music history! Earth Opera incorporated many styles into a sound that may not seem uncommon today, but was idiosyncrastic and unique in it's day, and still sounds great! The group was born from the collaboration of Peter Rowan and a young David Grisman, who recruited the rest of the members from the Boston Be-In and built an east coast take on the sounds that were sweeping California in the mid and late 60s. There's some nice jazzy influence creeping in to the bands singer/songwriter-plus vibe, with 10 songs in all, including "The Red Sox Are Winning", "As It Is Before", "Dreamless", "To Care At All", "Home OF The Brave", "The child Bride", "Close Your Eyes & Shut The Door", "Time & Again", "When You Were Full Of Wonder", and "Death By Fire". LP, Vinyl record album
(Tan label pressing. Cover has a cutout grommet and staple holes in the top left corner.)
