John Lennon & Yoko Ono with The Plastic Ono BandLive Peace In Toronto ... LP
Apple, 1969. Near Mint- ... $8.99
The earliest incarnation of the Plastic Ono band, and more or less a one off, with an all-star line up that included Eric Clapton and Klaus Voorman alongside Lennon and Ono. One side of the rootsy rock that was the old school Beatles stock in trade, and one side of Yoko Ono doing her thing on the mic. Titles include "Blue Suede Shoes", "Money", "Dizzy Miss Lizzy", "Yer Blues", "Cold Turkey", "Give Peace A Chance", "Don't Worry Kyoko" and "John, John". LP, Vinyl record album

John Lennon & Yoko Ono/Plastic Ono BandSome Time In New York City ... LP
Apple, 1972. Near Mint- 2LP Gatefold ... $11.99
The most polarizing of John Lennon's post Beatles ouvre – the strident, Spector-produced, sprawling mess that is Some Time In New York City – a record that has too much of every idea John & Yoko had at the time, which makes it all the more fascinating after all these years! Angry, self-righteous and quite often brilliant – feminist anthems backed by Wall Of Sound pop, an ode to John Sinclair in the mold of a country rock tune – wild stuff from a superstar! Include "Woman Is The Ni**** Of The World", "Sister, Oh Sister", "Sunday Bloody Sunday", "Attica State", "New York City" and more. LP, Vinyl record album
(Late 80s purple label Capitol pressing. Includes the printed inner sleeves.)

John Lennon/Yoko OnoMilk & Honey ... LP
Polydor, 1984. Near Mint- Gatefold ... $11.99
The second album released of material from the Double Fantasy sessions – released in 1984, years after John's murder, and record we can easily admit having a lot of affection for all these years later! The production has something of a rough, unfinished vibe to it – yet fairly conventional in instrumentation – with John's to-the-point lyricism working pretty well in that setting. Yoko's eccentric vocals – sometimes plaintive and intimate and at other points in a ghostly echo sound better on this record than she's ever been given credit for. Tender, affectionate John & Yoko – quite appropriate given the time of release and sad circumstances. Includes "I'm Stepping Out", "Sleepless Night", "I Don't Wanna Face It", "Don't Be Scared", "Nobody Told Me", "O'Sanity", "Borrowed Time", "Your Time", "Let Me Count The Ways", "You're The One" and more. LP, Vinyl record album
(Includes the insert. Cover has light surface wear.)

John Lennon/Yoko OnoWedding Album (Box Set) ... LP
Apple, 1969. Very Good+ ... $79.99
One of the weirdest, most experimental albums ever from John Lennon and Yoko Ono – and that's saying a hell of a lot, given the nature of their other music! The set's got a cover and title that might make you expect more conventional modes – after all, everyone is familiar with the concept of a wedding album – but instead, the whole thing's a wonderful freakout that almost makes "Revolution Number 9" from the White Album feel like a pop single! The record features two side-long tracks – each very open and almost like performance art – "John & Yoko", which features lots of analogue electronics, and the couple shouting each others' names in this way that's surprisingly moving – and "Amsterdam", which is a longer songform, with surprisingly beautiful vocals from Yoko! This is a beautiful box set pressing – just like the original version, with souvenirs of the wedding included. LP, Vinyl record album
(In a cool box, with a certificate of marriage on the inside, plus photo strip, press book, marriage book, posters, mylar bag, and insert. Box has a split on the spine, surface wear, and aging. Posters & inserts have some aging.)

✨✧ John Lennon/Yoko OnoUnfinished Music No2 – Life With The Lions ... LP
Zapple, 1968. Very Good ... Temporarily Out Of Stock
Yoko shows her Fluxus roots on this album of trippy experimental stuff. Side one is a live piece called "Cambridge 1969", which is performed by John and Yoko, with the help of avant jazzmen John Tchicai and John Stevens. Lots of noisy guitar on that one. Side 2 features a number of spare tracks recorded on a cassette at Queen Charlotte Hospital, in 1968. Cuts include "No Bed For Beatle John" (as pictured on the cover), "Baby's Heartbeat", and "Two Minutes Silence". LP, Vinyl record album
(Original US pressing. Cover has some surface wear, edge wear, lightly bent at the bottom right corner, with a small split in the bottom seam.)

John LennonPlastic Ono Band ... LP
Apple, 1970. Near Mint- ... $34.99
The first true proper solo album by John Lennon – recorded after a few non-Beatles records with Yoko Ono, and at the same time as Yoko's much wilder album with a similar title! This one, though, is John at his best – very personal and exposed, in similar territory to Paul McCartney on his first solo record – and the whole thing is a fantastic testament to the humanity that Lennon always brought to his music, even at a time when some might have accused him of going off the deep end with some of his more experimental music. The record's got a relatively stripped-down vibe, although isn't entirely just voice and guitar – as other elements are brought in at just the right level to expand the sound without losing the Lennon at the core. Titles include "Mother", "Hold On", "I Found Out", "Working Class Hero", "Isolation", "Remember", "Love", "Well Well Well", "Look At Me", "God", and "My Mummy's Dead". LP, Vinyl record album
(Australian Apple pressing. Includes the printed inner sleeve.)

✨✧ Yoko OnoPlastic Ono Band ... LP
Apple, 1970. Very Good+ ... Out Of Stock
Yoko's stunning Plastic Ono Band LP – utilizing the same incredible group of players from John Lennon's same-titled effort – and an out there masterpiece that could be argued as one of the benchmark noise rock albums of all time! As with John's Plastic Ono Band LP, this one features guitars by the Walrus himself, drums by Ringo, bass by Klauss Voorman, plus additional bass by David Izenzon, Charles Haden, and trumpet by none other than Ornette Coleman – but Yoko's brutal banshee vocal improvisation is far and away the lead instrument here. Amazing, amazing, amazing – try to even imagine contempory noise rock without it! Original LP tracks include "Why", "Why Not", "Greenfield Morning I Pushed An Empty Baby Carriage. . .", "AOS", "Touch Me" and "Paper Shoes". LP, Vinyl record album

Frank Zappa & The Mothers Of InventionMothers 1971 (8CD set) ... CD
Zappa, 1971. New Copy 8CD ... $111.99 124.99
A stunning little package that goes way beyond the original Fillmore East concert from 1971 – as this set features the full recordings from that show, including the legendary encore with John Lennon and Yoko Ono – plus the Rainbow Theatre concert, a whole other concert set of material from Pennsylvania, and all sorts of additional and rare tracks too! The package is massive – a great document of the non-stop creative genius that Frank Zappa had going with the group at the start of the 70s – presented here with new remastering by Eddie Kramer and Craig Parker, plus very detailed liner notes and other information too. VariousListen, Whitey! – The Sounds Of Black Power 1967 to 1974 ... CD
Light In The Attic, Late 60s/Early 70s. Used ... $19.99
Some of the most righteous recordings ever issued – a rich batch of soul, funk, rock, and spoken word tracks from the boldest era of African American empowerment! The set does a great job of mixing together classic cuts and overlooked nuggets – all of which bring forth the message of the times with energy that's far more direct, and far more powerful than some of the more easygoing songs of the Civil Rights era – a musical shift that follows the cultural one documented in the book of the same title! The collection and notes are done by Pat Thomas – who wrote the Listen Whitey book – and he's done a really amazing job of picking just the right selections, and finding a way to make them all resonate together beautifully – in ways that only increase the focus and strength of their message. Titles incude "Free Bobby Now" by The Lumpen, "I Ain't Black" by Kain, "Free Huey" by Stokely Carmichael, "Invitation To Black Power (parts 1 & 2)" by Sahid Quintet, "Woman Of The Ghetto (live)" by Marlena Shaw, "Who Will Survive America" by Amiri Baraka, "Winter In America (solo version)" by Gil Scott Heron, "I Hate The White Man" by Roy Harper, "Dem Niggers Ain't Playing" by The Watts Prophets, "Tim Leary" by Eldridge Cleaver, and "Angela" by John Lennon & Yoko Ono. ✨✧ Rolling Stones & OthersRolling Stones Rock & Roll Circus ... CD
Abkco, 1968. Used ... Temporarily Out Of Stock
A great audio documentary of a really mindblowing film – one that captures the Rolling Stones at that key late 60s point when they were stepping into really sinister territory – playing in a very vivid setting, along with some of their key up-and-coming contemporaries on the scene! The whole thing builds up with the energy of a circus – the Stones are last, and there's a growing mix of performers introduced by various members of the band – really presented in a carnivalesque array, before the lead act comes in and knocks it out of the park. The set features a killer early version of "A Quick One While He's Away" by The Who – maybe one of the high points of the set – plus "Song For Jeffrey" by Jethro Tull, Whole Lotta Yoko" by Yoko Ono & The Dirty Mac (John Lennon), "Ain't That A Lot Of Love" by Taj Mahal, and "Something Better" by Marianne Faithfull. The Rolling Stones round things out with performances of "Sympathy For The Devil", "Parachute Woman", "Jumpin Jack Flash", "Salt Of The Earth", "No Expectations", and "You Can't Always Get What You Want". CD
(Includes slipcase and large booklet.)
