A great 80s fusion of gwo-ka rhythms and more contemporary elements – very much in the "new Africa" mode that Celluloid records was plotting a few years earlier – as JimmyBlanche works here next to a blend of acoustic and electric percussion, on tracks that have a heavy rhythmic vibe throughout! Vocals are often tied very strongly to the grooves – called out more than sung by Jimmy, but often matched with sweeter elements from a female singer – who warms up the sound next to some of the jazzier piano and horn lines too. Titles include "Kimbe", "Dou Van Jou", "La Nou Te Ye", "Tambo La & Ti Bois La", "Misik A Moun A Kaz", and the long "Misik A Moun A Kaz (Baerlz rmx)". LP, Vinyl record album
