Today ... LP MGM, Late 60s. Very Good+ ...
Out Of Stock
A very very groovy little album of 60s pop vocals – thanks less to Gloria's talents, than to some of the great arrangers on the set! Gloria's got a voice that's a bit flat and a bit wispy, nothing really that fancy on its own – but she's working here with Luiz Henrique, Herb Bernstein, and Jack Franklin – all of whom bring in a great full-on sort of pop groove to the record. There's styles here that range from Sunshine Pop to Brit-inspired to bossa-styled – and there's a bit of electric sitar on a few of the cuts that comes off especially well. Titles include "Catch The Wind", "One Way Ticket", "Meantime", "The Song Is Love", "Good Day Sunshine", and "Don't Tie Me Down". LP, Vinyl record album
