Ferrante & TeicherFerrante & Teicher With Percussion ... LP
ABC, Early 60s. Very Good ... $1.99
Another one of their crazy LPs, which are sometimes hard to find amidst the pop stuff they normally did. This one's got them doing some originals and some standards, augmented by a tight little ensemble of three percussionists and one bassist. The added instruments drive their piano stuff – which is already percussive enough, what with weird keys and mallet designs – into a driving new dimension. 12 tracks in all, including "Che Si Dice", "Va Va Voom", "Aflame", "Parade Of The Bobbies", "Cielito Lindo", "Beyond The Blue Horizon", "Three O'Clock In The Morning" and "The Nearness Of You". LP, Vinyl record album
(Mono white label promo copy. Cover has light wear and aging, and a center split in the bottom seam.)

Ferrante & TeicherHeavenly Sounds In Hi Fi ... LP
ABC, Early 60s. Very Good ... $14.99
One of the best non-Winchester albums from the team of Ferrante & Teicher – not as crazy as some of their work, but still with some good elements of the piano trickery that made them famous. Titles include "Out Of This World", "East Of The Sun", "Over The Rainbow", "Stars In My Eyes", and "Stella By Starlight". Also features the original tracks "Serenade To A Star" and "Beyond The Moon". LP, Vinyl record album
(Mono black label pressing with deep groove.)

✨✧ Ferrante & TeicherGetting Together ... LP
United Artists, Late 60s. Near Mint- ... Out Of Stock
A great late one from this twin-piano team! The record has some much more modern arrangements than earlier albums – handled here by Nick Perito, with sweet production by George Butler. The overall sound is tight and groovy, and a perfect complement to the wild keyboard work of the famous team – especially on cuts like "Something", "Oh Calcutta!", "Good Morning Starshine", "Ballad Of Easy Rider", and the spacey "Lay Lady Lay". YEEEEEAH, baby! LP, Vinyl record album
(Late 70s Pickwick pressing in a white border cover.)

✨✧ Ferrante & TeicherWe Wish You A Merry Christmas ... LP
United Artists, Early 70s. Very Good+ ... Out Of Stock
The twin piano magic of Ferrante & Teicher really makes the Holidays come alive – working here with full orchestrations that are heavy on strings, but leave plenty of room for the boys' pianos to ring out strongly! Side one is a bit more lush, side two a bit more playful – and titles include "Silver Bells", "The Christmas Song", "Twelve Days Of Christmas", "Silent Night Medley", "Hark The Herald Angels Sing", "Deck The Halls", and "Rudolph The Red Nose Reindeer". LP, Vinyl record album
(Original stereo pressing. Cover has very light surface wear. A nice copy.)

VariousErnie Kovacs Record Collection ... CD
Varese, 1950s/1997. Used ... $11.99
A nutty idea, but a great one! TV genius Ernie Kovacs was always noted for his dedication to using weird and goofy music in his insane video skits – and this CD by Varese brings together 20 tracks that made appearances in his classic shows from the 1950's. The compilation stands as some sort of crazy loungey collection, but with a much goofier edge than usual. The CD includes a number of weird original songs from the show – with some vocals by Kovacs and wife Edie Adams – plus other stuff borrowed from Esquivel, Ferrante & Teicher, Tony DeSimone, Robert Maxwell, Yma Sumac, LeRoy Holmes, and others. Very nicely packaged in a cool cover by Chris Ware, and a good set of notes! CD
