✨✧ Eric Kloss with Barry MilesEric Kloss & Barry Miles – Live In Bremen 1976 Vol 2 ... CD
Timeless/Ultra Vybe (Japan), 1976. New Copy ... Temporarily Out Of Stock
A really beautiful pairing of talents – saxophonist Eric Koss and keyboardist Barry Miles – both players who'd worked together on a famous album led by Miles, and another studio session on the Muse label – but who sound very different here in the spare space of a live performance! Miles is especially great, and has this warmth and subtle soul that really matches the edge in Kloss's horn – always great in other settings, but very open, honest, and human here – on a recording that reminds us what a great contribution he gave to jazz during the late 60s and 70s. Titles on this second volume include "Michell", "My One & Only Love", "No Title", and a sixteen minute "Free Improvisation". CD

✨✧ Barry MilesSky Train ... LP
RCA, 1977. Near Mint- ... Out Of Stock
Barry Miles is riding the Sky Train – and at a pretty fast clip too, given the jamming energy of this record! The album's one of Miles' most full-on fusion sets – but it's also one of his most soulful as well, thanks to strong use of horns on most numbers – with players like Randy Brecker, Tom Harrell, and Jim Buffington really warming things up. Eric Kloss is in the core group alongside Miles keyboards – and his work on alto sax is a treasure – filled with feeling, even at a fast clip – and sweetly soulful on some of the mellower numbers too. Vic Juris plays guitar, and titles include "Sky Train", "Big A", "Old Man Jack", "Relay", "A Waltz For You", and "Cityscape". LP, Vinyl record album
(Cover has a promo stamp, light wear, and is lightly bent at the top edge.)
