An excellent set from drummer Brandon Sanders – one that not only makes great use of his own work on the kit, but also the vibes of Warren Wolf – always a very welcome sessionmate to our ears! The mix of snapping drums and vibes is great – further augmented by the tenor and soprano sax of Chris Lewis, piano of Keith Brown, and bass of David Wong – a group who often hit this great in the pocket mode that's got a very old school vibe – maybe what you'd expect from Brandon's image on the cover, as he definitely knows how to come correct! Christie Dashiell sings on two tracks – "Prelude To A Kiss", and a nice remake of "Human Nature" – and other instrumental tracks include "Sister Cheryl", "Miss Ernestine", "Aisha", "Central & El Segundo", and "The Tables Will Turn".
