✨✧ Frankie Goes To HollywoodFirst 48 Inches Of Frankie Goes To Hollywood (4 x 12 inch single box set) (2018 Record Store Day Release) ... LP
ZTT/BMG (Italy), Early 80s. New Copy 4 x 12 inch set ... Out Of Stock
Frankie Goes To Hollywood were maybe the undisputed masters of the 12" single format on the British scene of the early 80s – a group who already had great songs, but who could completely open them up on the format of a longer record – creating these fantastic extrapolations of their original themes, and often making the FGTH 12" experience a lot more appealing than the group in any other format! Of course, it helped that they were propelled by the mighty ZTT label – who had similar 12" magic with Art Of Noise and other groups – but Frankie really know how to make the best of the longer mixes, as you'll hear in this great collection of early singles. The special limited box features "Relax" in sex mix, ferry cross the mersey mix, bonus mix, and again; "Two Tribes" in annihilation mix, war mix, one February Friday mix, surrender mix, and the last voice; The Power Of Love in scrapped mix, holier than thou mix; "The World Is My Oyster" in trapped and holier than thou mixes; "Welcome To The Pleasuredome" in real altered and get it on mixes; and "Happy Hi Relax" in an international mix. ✨✧ Rory GallagherFrench Connection (180 gram pressing) (2018 Record Store Day Release) ... LP
Universal (Italy), 1974. New Copy ... Out Of Stock
A rare live performance by the mighty Rory Gallagher – captured here at the height of his powers in a well-recorded date by RTL Radio in France! The set's sort of a "live in studio" session – no large arena noise at all – but Rory's definitely reaching out with plenty of power – in a group that includes Lou Martin on keyboards, Gerry McAvoy on bass, and Rod De'Ath on drums. Titles include "Cradle Rock", "Messin With The Kid", "Hands Off", "Pistol Slapper Blues", "Tattooed Lady", and "Bullfrog Blues". LP, Vinyl record album
