The second album from Honeymunch – a group that really grabbed our ears with the club jazz sound of their debut! The style here is a bit more electric than before – with the strongest emphasis on the keyboards, which include a lot of Fender Rhodes and Clavinet – snaking out over some nicely laidback and slinky grooves, yet done with a style that still has enough of a funk undercurrent in the mix. Overall, things are a bit mellow – but never sleepy, and if anything, in a groove that's picked up a lot more 70s electric touches – a bit in the mode of work by the Xaver Fischer Trio.
