This is what it says, that the record is still held fast in shrink-wrap.
We tend to be pretty suspicious about these things, so if the shrink-wrap doesn't
look original, or if the record seems to have undergone some damage over time,
we'll probably take it out of the wrapper to ensure that it's in good shape —
which is why we don't have more of these. In some cases the shrink-wrap may be
torn in spots, but if it's not possible the record has been taken out and played,
the record will still qualify as "Sealed".
Additional Marks & Notes
If something is noteworthy, we try to note it in the comments — especially
if it is an oddity that is the only wrong thing about the record.
This might include, but isn't limited to, warped records, tracks that skip,
cover damage or wear as noted above, or strictly cosmetic flaws.
Comprehensive 3 LP set that covers the full range of Mingus' great recordings for Atlantic, including stuff from many hard to find albums that you won't find easily on LP. The track list is virtually a catalog of his greatest recordings, with 18 tracks in all: "Pithecanthropus Erectus", ... LP, Vinyl record album
A great little 70s session from Mingus – the second part of the Changes set, some of his best work from the time, and recorded with a small group that includes George Adams, Don Pullen, and Jack Walrath. Tracks are long, with that late love of Ellington that Mingus was developing – and ... LP, Vinyl record album
A landmark first album from drummer Norman Connors – a spiritual jazz masterpiece that builds wonderfully on the post-Coltrane tradition! Norman is years away from his smoother soul recordings at this point, and coming out of a righteous jazz background that included work with Marion Brown ... LP, Vinyl record album
Later genius from Rahsaan Roland Kirk – a record of wonderful depth and soul, and a session that moves back to the straighter jazz focus of some of his work from the Mercury years – yet still keeps all the personality and charm of the best Atlantic sides! Roland's playing in a warm ... LP, Vinyl record album
While actually not as electrifying as some of Dizzy's other albums from the time, this one's still pretty darn great, and features his great group with Leo Wright on alto and Lalo Schfrin on piano. The band grooves with a subtly Latinish vibe, and the tracks are nice and long long long. Titles ... LP, Vinyl record album
Excellent 60s work by Stan Getz – featuring two of his greatest sessions ever! One disc features some of Getz's best straight jazz of the 60s – played in a perfectly matched quartet with Bill Evans on piano, a perfect choice for Getz's lyrical soulful tone at the time. Titles include ... LP, Vinyl record album
No real date or personnel on this one, and the album's a live set recorded, most likely, at some time in the 50s. The quality of the recording isn't great, and you hear a heck of a lot of crowd noise – but the work's an interesting document of Pres during the period, as the tunes are all ... A real standout in the Stan Getz catalog of the 70s – a session of mostly spare duets with pianist Jimmy Rowles, done in a way that really breaks from the format of Stan's other work of the time! Rowles here has a raspy warmth that brings out new voicings in Getz's tenor – an ... LP, Vinyl record album
A masterful fusion set from guitarist Lee Ritenour – one that expands his sound a bit more than usual by adding in vocals on a number of tracks – but in a way that really gets at the mainstream soul influences that bubble through his jazz work! The set features key vocal appearances ... LP, Vinyl record album

A beautiful LP of modern soul by this classic group! Production's handled by a number of stars from the Philly Sound stable, like Kenny Gamble and Dexter Wansel, and the result's a nice LP of smooth modern soul, with an excellent update of "United", plus "Lighten Up", "We ... LP, Vinyl record album
