This is what it says, that the record is still held fast in shrink-wrap.
We tend to be pretty suspicious about these things, so if the shrink-wrap doesn't
look original, or if the record seems to have undergone some damage over time,
we'll probably take it out of the wrapper to ensure that it's in good shape —
which is why we don't have more of these. In some cases the shrink-wrap may be
torn in spots, but if it's not possible the record has been taken out and played,
the record will still qualify as "Sealed".
Additional Marks & Notes
If something is noteworthy, we try to note it in the comments — especially
if it is an oddity that is the only wrong thing about the record.
This might include, but isn't limited to, warped records, tracks that skip,
cover damage or wear as noted above, or strictly cosmetic flaws.
The first-ever album from the legendary Tamba Trio – and the start of an amazing 60s run that really set them apart from other bossa combos of the time! The group hits hard right out of the box with the amazing piano of Luiz Eca and sublime vocal harmonies sung by all three members of the ... LP, Vinyl record album
Quite different from Flora's earlier work, but in a way that we find quite compelling! The record was produced by Leon Ndugu Chancler, and it's got a smooth fusion sound that's kind of in a southern California R&B mode, played by a huge range of excellent Brazilian and west coast talents that ... Great work from two of Brazil's greatest modernists! Although the cover makes it look like they're playing together on the album, the record features a side apiece of work by each composer/musician. Gismonti's side features a version of "O Sonho" sung by Elis Regina, a duet with Nana ... LP, Vinyl record album
Soaring keyboard work from Jose Roberto Bertrami of Azymuth – done with a sound that's slightly smooth – keyboards that show a bit more of a mid 80s sound, but still recorded with the sense of soul and space that makes Bertrami so great! There's a gently flowing quality to most of ... LP, Vinyl record album
An incredible set of Brazilian jazz – one of the few albums that percussionist Dom Um Romao recorded as a leader, and sublime all the way through! The record's got a wonderful blend of funky fusion and Brazilian percussion – and features a group from two continents that includes Sivuca ... LP, Vinyl record album
A pretty nice set of samba and bossa instrumentals – all performed by the orchestra of Carioca, a leader who's got a similar style to Lyrio Panicali – mixing light and jazzy together in a 60s-styled Brazilian sound! Titles include "Nega", "Samba De Uma Nota So", ... LP, Vinyl record album
Includes selections by Gal Costa, Caetano Veloso, Zizi Possi, Sergio Endrigo and Fafa De Belem, Tim Maia, Ivan Lins, Boca Livre, Maria Bethania, Chico Buarque, Emilio Santiago, Angela Roro, Vinicius De Moraes, and Elis Regina. LP, Vinyl record album
An obscure little funky group from Flint, Michigan, one with a tight ensemble sound that's very much in the Earth Wind & Fire mode – complete with a really great horn section, plenty of bass-heavy grooves a the bottom, and a relatively spiritual feel that comes through strongly on the ... Long lean groovers from Brian Auger and the Oblivion Express group – recorded with a slightly freer feel than some of the group's earlier albums, and an approach that has them stretching out nicely! Brian still sings a bit on some tracks, but there seems to be more of a focus than before on ... LP, Vinyl record album
