❔

(Cover has light wear and a DMM sticker.)

Near Mint - (minus)

  • Black vinyl that may show a slight amount of dust or dirt.
  • Should still be very shiny under a light, even with slight amount of dust on surface.
  • One or two small marks that would make an otherwise near perfect record slightly less so. These marks cannot be too deep, and should only be surface marks that won't affect play, but might detract from the looks.
  • May have some flaws and discoloration in the vinyl, but only those that would be intrinsic to the pressing. These should disappear when the record is tilted under the light, and will only show up when looking straight at the record. (Buddah and ABC pressings from the 70's are a good example of this.)
  • May have some slight marks from aging of the paper sleeve on the vinyl.
  • Possible minor surface noise when played.

Additional Marks & Notes

If something is noteworthy, we try to note it in the comments — especially if it is an oddity that is the only wrong thing about the record. This might include, but isn't limited to, warped records, tracks that skip, cover damage or wear as noted above, or strictly cosmetic flaws.

This Is Sinatra!
Capitol, Early 50s. Near Mint-
This Is Sinatra indeed – a wonderful collection of singles, and a near-lost album to the shifting sands of time! The record wasn't one of Frank's "album concepts" for Capitol, and has since been dismantled in the catalog – but for many in the 50s, this was one of THE Sinatra ... LP, Vinyl record album

My Way
Reprise, 1969. Near Mint-
A standout late 60s set from ol' blue eyes – and a record that gave him one of the last great songs of his career! The title cut's a well-known gem, but the whole thing's pretty sweet – arranged and conducted by Don Costa, and done in that maturing masculine mode Sinatra was hitting at ... LP, Vinyl record album

First Light
CTI, 1972. Near Mint-
Sweet early CTI work from trumpeter Freddie Hubbard – the kind of groundbreaking electric jazz that really helped him find a new space in the 70s! The album follows strongly from Freddie's classic Red Clay set for CTI – and like that one, it features extended tracks that build ... LP, Vinyl record album

Ray Barretto

From the Beginning
Fania, 1971. Very Good- Gatefold
Ray's taking it back to the beginning on this one – getting a bit more spare and percussive, showing off a strong understanding of the history of the roots of the Afro-Cuban sound.
