Twin Guitars In A Mood For Love

LP (Item 981353) RCA, 1966 — Condition: Sealed

(Mono pressing.)

Sealed

This is what it says, that the record is still held fast in shrink-wrap. We tend to be pretty suspicious about these things, so if the shrink-wrap doesn't look original, or if the record seems to have undergone some damage over time, we'll probably take it out of the wrapper to ensure that it's in good shape — which is why we don't have more of these. In some cases the shrink-wrap may be torn in spots, but if it's not possible the record has been taken out and played, the record will still qualify as "Sealed".

Additional Marks & Notes

If something is noteworthy, we try to note it in the comments — especially if it is an oddity that is the only wrong thing about the record. This might include, but isn't limited to, warped records, tracks that skip, cover damage or wear as noted above, or strictly cosmetic flaws.

Big Screen Little Screen
RCA, Early 70s. Very Good
Henry Mancini balances things out between the big screen of the cinema and the little screen of the TV – both showcases for his famous work over the years! Buddy Morrow

Double Impact
RCA, 1960. Very Good
Second set of swinging tracks, very much in the same vein as Buddy Morrow's crime jazz soundtracks cut for RCA at the end of the 50s! More great TV themes from the time, running the gamut from action and thriller series to westerns and dramas, including "Men Into space", "Staccato's ... LP, Vinyl record album

Bernie Green & The Stereo Mad-Men

Musically Mad
RCA, 1959. Very Good-
Very goofy stuff! The album is one of the maddest bachelor pad albums to come out on RCA during the late 50s – and it features a nutty set of tunes released in conjunction with Mad Magazine, whose Norman Mingo contributed a fantastic cover painting of Alfred E Neuman! Instrumentation is ... LP, Vinyl record album

RCA, 1967. Near Mint-
An unusual concert performance from Henry Mancini – one that features the maestro leading a full orchestra, but with a really groovy feel overall! A collaboration with poet John Laws – a project that almost recalls some of the Rod McKuen/Anita Kerr projects of the late 60s, but which has a deeper, more sophisticated Mancini feel! Les Baxter

Teen Drums
Capitol, Late 60s. Very Good-
One of Les Baxter's best for Capitol! Forget the "teen" in the title, because this is a super-hip album filled with great percussion tracks. More than a few of the numbers have a Latiny groove – mixing strong exotica scoring with rawer percussion than usual, and some occasional ... LP, Vinyl record album
