K-Holes

LP (Item 980908) HoZac, 2011 — Condition: Near Mint-

(Limited clear gold vinyl pressing. Cover has a center split in the spine.)

Near Mint - (minus)

  • Black vinyl that may show a slight amount of dust or dirt.
  • Should still be very shiny under a light, even with slight amount of dust on surface.
  • One or two small marks that would make an otherwise near perfect record slightly less so. These marks cannot be too deep, and should only be surface marks that won't affect play, but might detract from the looks.
  • May have some flaws and discoloration in the vinyl, but only those that would be intrinsic to the pressing. These should disappear when the record is tilted under the light, and will only show up when looking straight at the record. (Buddah and ABC pressings from the 70's are a good example of this.)
  • May have some slight marks from aging of the paper sleeve on the vinyl.
  • Possible minor surface noise when played.

Additional Marks & Notes

If something is noteworthy, we try to note it in the comments — especially if it is an oddity that is the only wrong thing about the record. This might include, but isn't limited to, warped records, tracks that skip, cover damage or wear as noted above, or strictly cosmetic flaws.

Insect Trust
Capitol, Late 60s. Very Good+ Gatefold
A sublime album from The Insect Trust – a really unique group who blended folk rock, jazz, and some nice trippy Eastern overtones! Decca (France), 1967. Sealed Gatefold
A record that was initially thought by some as a cheap cash-in on the Sgt Peppers concept – but an album that, to us, really helped set The Rolling Stones free to express themselves in so many new and amazing ways! Ennea
Epic, 1972. Near Mint- Gatefold
A jazz rock classic that still sounds pretty darn tasty today – forged on the heels of Chicago and Blood Sweat & Tears, but with a sound that's leaner and meaner! The group's led by trumpeter Bill Chase – hence their name – and features lead vocals by GG Shinn and Terry ... LP, Vinyl record album

Gary Numan

Pleasure Principle
Beggars Banquet/Atco, 1979. Near Mint-
A classic! Where would electronic pop be without Gary Numan's "Cars"? Capitol, Late 60s. Near Mint- Gatefold
A great collection of all things hip on Capitol at the end of the 60s – some of the label's headiest rockers, plus a few more bits from left field! The album has a great trippy cover of a long-armed dude playing piano in a very Peter Max sort of pose – and titles include "Broke ... LP, Vinyl record album

Jack McDuff

Mellow Gravy
Prestige, Mid 60s. Very Good+
Mellow Gravy is right – an early killer from Jack McDuff, from that time when he was really tightening up his sound on the Hammond, and working with a top-shelf group that really pushed things over the top! All tracks are nice and long with great solos – and in addition to Jack on the ... LP, Vinyl record album

Don Patterson

Soul Happening!
Prestige, 1967. Very Good
A great one from Hammond giant Don Patterson – served up in that lean trio style that made his 60s work so great!
