If something is noteworthy, we try to note it in the comments — especially

This might include, but isn't limited to, warped records, tracks that skip,
cover damage or wear as noted above, or strictly cosmetic flaws.
Used CD Grade
We have only one grade for non-new CDs at Dusty Groove — "Used CD".
This grade is somewhat all-encompassing, but we choose it because we try to offer
Used CDs in the best shape possible.
When you purchase a Used CD you can expect the disc to be free of all but the
lightest of surface marks, the case to be clean (we often change the cases ourselves),
and the booklet to be in good shape.
Used CDs may show some signs of use but if there are significant details or
defects we will list them underneath the item — just like we do with LPs —
so look there for notes on cutout marks, stickers, promo stamps or other details.
All of our Used CDs are guaranteed to play without skipping or flaws.
If you purchase a Used CD from Dusty Groove, you have 1 week to play it to determine
that it plays correctly —
and if it does not, then you may return it for a full refund.
Paris club meets classic Brazil – all served up by the lovely voice of Salome De Bahia! Salome's got a style that's bit more soulful than any of the neo-bossa divas floating around the dancefloor these days – a vocal approach that's rich in tradition, and perfect for the set's ... CD
As with much of the work in his career, Bill Laswell assmebles an all star cast, this one based around the crew he'd pull from as he explored some of the heavier more tripped out directions that seemed to guide his work through the 90s. On the one hand he's tapping into the P-Funk axis with Bootsy ... CD
The first full length set from a group we love for their earlier singles on Comet Records – and who step out here with a well-crafted approach to dancefloor Brazilian! Nutropic have a soulful sensibility that goes way beyond simple bossa remix tricks – a style that balances Brazilian ... CD
A group that's as groovy as their name – offering up a modern take on some older-styled bossa grooves! The work's a bit like some of the best recent Brazilian sides coming from the Irma label – not truly bossa or Brazilian, but cut in Italy with a sound that's respectful of older modes ... CD
Incredible work from United Future Organization – light years ahead of anything else they've ever done! The album shows a tremendous growth in instrumental styles – with more of a preoccupation with the overall shapes and sound of their music, grown here to expansive limits, ... CD
A very organic set of grooves – from the banana-produced packaging, to Spiritual Life-styled tunes on the set! The album does a great job of blending together on-location sound bits – recorded in Haiti and elsewhere – with a mixture of upbeat and mellow tunes that bubble over ... CD
A warm and wonderful sampling of grooves from one of the hippest Japanese labels growing – the ever-soulful Flower Records, home to some of our best-selling artists on that high-priced Japanese wax! The approach here is to take mellower cuts by some artists that you might know more for their ... CD
Hardly a set of Easy Listening – more a crackling batch of dancefloor tracks from one of Japan's hippest labels! Flower Records is one of those companies that just keeps on getting better and better over the years – coming up with new artists, new records, and new sounds that show that ... CD
Everything you've ever come to expect from Tosca – heavy beats, tuneful flourishes, and a downtempo groove that never breaks its cool – despite the presence of a rich array of other remix talents here. The posturing gets a bit stiff for us at times – and makes us long for the ... CD
An insanely wonderful album! Shuggie Otis is the son of Johnny Otis – the LA R&B maestro who was moving heavily into funk at the end of the 60s – and he has this tripped out, super-dope guitar style that he played to strong effect on Johnny's albums of the late 60s and early 70s, ... CD
Pure dark magic from Grover Washington – a record that was a megahit back in the 70s, but which still sounds amazing many decades later! There's a sound here that's completely sublime – and the album is to Grover's career what the first 2 CTI sets by Bob James were to his – a ... CD
