Used CD Grade
We have only one grade for non-new CDs at Dusty Groove — "Used CD".
This grade is somewhat all-encompassing, but we choose it because we try to offer
Used CDs in the best shape possible.
When you purchase a Used CD you can expect the disc to be free of all but the
lightest of surface marks, the case to be clean (we often change the cases ourselves),
and the booklet to be in good shape.
Used CDs may show some signs of use but if there are significant details or
defects we will list them underneath the item — just like we do with LPs —
so look there for notes on cutout marks, stickers, promo stamps or other details.
All of our Used CDs are guaranteed to play without skipping or flaws.
If you purchase a Used CD from Dusty Groove, you have 1 week to play it to determine
that it plays correctly —
and if it does not, then you may return it for a full refund.
The group's first, with production courtesy the great Gary Katz, who's put a fine touch on many Steely Dan LPs. While we were a bit dismissive of this effort at the time, it's kind of become a bit of a watershed in retrospect, the high water mark for the American Acid Jazz scene, if a bit ... CD
A contemporary record, but one with a definite 70s groove – very much in the best spirit of vocal gems from the European scene back in the day! There's an upbeat, swinging style to the record that's totally great – somewhere in the territory of MPS easy, or hip Euro soundtracks – ... CD
An excellent collection of work by King Britt – one of the first to ever get at the true range of his talents! Britt's name has been on a lot of different projects over the past decade or so, and it's sometimes difficult to keep track of what he's done, where – especially since some of ... CD
The first full length set we've heard from Shannon Harris & his Urbanicity fellow travelers – and it's a great one – blending classic spiritual jazz, Afro roots & Brazilian influences, and spacey soul for a unique, hypnotic groove! Harris blends live instrumentation with cosmic ... CD
The long-awaited debut of Wunmi – a vocalist who's worked with Bugz In The Attic, Louie Vega, and many others over the years – but who finally steps out here in her own full album! The record's been well worth the wait, as Wunmi's got an incredible sound here – a very unique ... CD
A pretty remarkable set of spacey soul songcraft from Hiatus Kaiyote – a Melbourne group that blends moody, laidback live soul instrumentation with bubbling futuristic elements in a surprisingly seamless way – elevated even higher by strong songwriting and the soulful vocals of Nai Palm! ... CD
Mod grooves from the Italian scene – very much in the mode of some of the 60s-styled work that's been showing up on the Record Kicks label of late, with plenty of Hammond in the mix, but also an overall sound that's got some more rock-oriented influences. The organ work on the set really ... CD
Very compelling work by this French producer – featuring a subtle set of tracks that mixes moody jazz with abstract modern rhythms – in a style that sort of feels like an update on the Blue Note "new thing" sound laid down by artists like Bobby Hutcherson, Andrew Hill, and ... CD
Kind of a "greatest hit" of greatest hits compilations – a set that's probably sold more copies than any of Barry White's full length albums – thanks to a monstrous run of hits in the 70s! The package is overflowing with greatness – amazing tunes that balance funky ... CD
As pure a distillation of McCoy Tyner's lyrical vision as one could ever hope for – a brilliant early standout session for the pianist as a leader! McCoy is backed up here by the energetic drumming of Elvin Jones – with whom he shares a natural empathy from their many years together ... CD
