Touch (voc, acapella, inst, album)

12-inch (Item 965721) Columbia, 2005 — Condition: Sealed

Featuring TI.

Sealed

This is what it says, that the record is still held fast in shrink-wrap. We tend to be pretty suspicious about these things, so if the shrink-wrap doesn't look original, or if the record seems to have undergone some damage over time, we'll probably take it out of the wrapper to ensure that it's in good shape — which is why we don't have more of these. In some cases the shrink-wrap may be torn in spots, but if it's not possible the record has been taken out and played, the record will still qualify as "Sealed".

Additional Marks & Notes

If something is noteworthy, we try to note it in the comments — especially if it is an oddity that is the only wrong thing about the record. This might include, but isn't limited to, warped records, tracks that skip, cover damage or wear as noted above, or strictly cosmetic flaws.

Herbie at his most R&B oriented for the 70s – but also pretty darn great as well! "You Bet Your Love" is a really groovy little number – one that begins here with a long-rolling intro that's got a great rollerskating feel – and which opens into a beautifully spacey ... 12-inch, Vinyl record

Basically a sequel of "Rockit" with a harder edge: electro grooves, 80s sounding Fairlight & Yamaha keys and loud guitars, plus D. St on the cut. 12-inch, Vinyl record

One of Ike's standout moments from the 80s! The track is a searing one – beginning with a slow stepping groove, as Ike opens up with a monologue in which he's talking to his woman about their relationship, their love, and her growing problem with crack! The monologue then gives way to a ... 12-inch, Vinyl record

A solid club slammer from Jackie Moore – way different than her earlier southern soul work, and done here with a sweet Philly groove from producer Bobby Eli! The track burns and builds for a full seven minutes – really picking up steam but never going too far – and setting Jackie' ... 12-inch, Vinyl record

An excellent 80s groove classic! James D-Train Williams sings it nice and deep on this catchy club cut – but the real groove is put over by Hubert Eaves, who does some excellent work on keyboards! 12-inch, Vinyl record

Billie Jean (long, inst)
Epic, 1982. Good
We know, this huge hit got well overplayed in its heyday, not to mention still getting thrown into rotation a bit more than some other deserving MJ cuts, but you can't argue with the solid Quincy Jones production that gave this track its top of the charts status! 12-inch, Vinyl record
