Mills Brothers In Motion

LP (Item 965353) Dot, 1969 — Condition: Near Mint-

(Cover has a small cutout notch.)

Near Mint - (minus)

  • Black vinyl that may show a slight amount of dust or dirt.
  • Should still be very shiny under a light, even with slight amount of dust on surface.
  • One or two small marks that would make an otherwise near perfect record slightly less so. These marks cannot be too deep, and should only be surface marks that won't affect play, but might detract from the looks.
  • May have some flaws and discoloration in the vinyl, but only those that would be intrinsic to the pressing. These should disappear when the record is tilted under the light, and will only show up when looking straight at the record. (Buddah and ABC pressings from the 70's are a good example of this.)
  • May have some slight marks from aging of the paper sleeve on the vinyl.
  • Possible minor surface noise when played.

Additional Marks & Notes

If something is noteworthy, we try to note it in the comments — especially if it is an oddity that is the only wrong thing about the record. This might include, but isn't limited to, warped records, tracks that skip, cover damage or wear as noted above, or strictly cosmetic flaws.

Moonlight & Shadows
Dot, 1957. Very Good+
Dreamy vocal work from Bonnie Guitar – a singer with a bit of a country tinge, but a jazzy feel as well! The album's got a laidback and mellow feel that fits perfectly with the title – moonlight, with just a hint of shadow – a blue undercurrent that comes from Bonnie's nice deep-t ... Dot, Late 60s. Near Mint-
Great stuff from Leonard Nimoy – one of his best records, largely because he's upfront about the Spock side of his persona! As is well known, Nimoy really thought of himself as more of a serious singer than just a pointy-eared alien – so other records have a lot more of him singing ... LP, Vinyl record album

One of Tony Bennett's most fantastic albums from the 60s, and a record that features some nice jazzy arrangements that push past the usual heavy studio ones. A very nice small combo album from Peggy Lee – singing here with live backings by the George Shearing Quintet, in a style that's very different from a lot of her other work for Capitol! The set's got a slight Latin feel, thanks to George's mix of percussion, vibes, piano, and guitar – ... LP, Vinyl record album

Ring Around Rosie
Columbia, 1955. Very Good
Very groovy stuff! 12 jazzy duets between Rosemary Clooney and The Hi-Lo's, one of the most magnificent male vocal groups of the 50s. If you dig the Hi-Lo's as much as we do, you'll find the album to be a key addition to their catalog – as it features some great vocal harmony numbers like ... LP, Vinyl record album
