Ultimate Breaks & Beats Vol 5
LP (Item 9595) Street Beat, 1970s/1980s — Condition: Near Mint-
Black vinyl that may show a slight amount of dust or dirt.
Should still be very shiny under a light, even with slight amount of dust on surface.
One or two small marks that would make an otherwise near perfect record slightly less so.
These marks cannot be too deep, and should only be surface marks that won't affect play,
but might detract from the looks.
May have some flaws and discoloration in the vinyl, but only those that would be
intrinsic to the pressing. These should disappear when the record is tilted under
the light, and will only show up when looking straight at the record.
(Buddah and ABC pressings from the 70's are a good example of this.)
May have some slight marks from aging of the paper sleeve on the vinyl.
Possible minor surface noise when played.
Additional Marks & Notes
If something is noteworthy, we try to note it in the comments — especially
if it is an oddity that is the only wrong thing about the record.
This might include, but isn't limited to, warped records, tracks that skip,
cover damage or wear as noted above, or strictly cosmetic flaws.
One of the best of the later volumes in this now classic series, one we hardly would've ever imagined would become collectible in it's own right. A European disco world that's ripe for rediscovery – one that's much more obscure than better-known club work from Germany, France, and Italy – but which may well be even groovier than the work from those three scenes! The package is a great complement to some of the funk and jazz sets ... LP, Vinyl record album
Paul Winley never runs out of breaks and beats – and on this volume 4, he's still going strong with plenty of tracks that made things happen back in the early years of hip hop! Titles include "Rock It In The Pocket" by Cerrone, "Super Sperm"by Captain Sky, "Disco ... LP, Vinyl record album

Great mix of funk and hip hop – with the kind of tasty selection you'd expect from crate-diggers like the folks at Fat City! The overall feel is more hip hop than funk, but the tracks work together very nicely – with a stunning array of heavy downtempo beats, and lots of warm rumbling ... LP, Vinyl record album
The great second volume in this excellent series of jazz, soul, Brazil, Latin, and more! With "Mi Vida" by Jon Lucien, "Garra" by Marcos Valle, "East" by Billy Paul, "Vera Cruz" by Stanley Turrentine, "Ye Me Le" by Luiz Carlos Vinhas, "Lies&quo ... LP, Vinyl record album

The depth of Stevie Wonder's music knows no bounds – as you'll hear in this joyous celebration of his compositions of the 60s and 70s! Pure genius from Ray Bryant – the kind of a record that few other players could ever hope to cut, and a fantastic demonstration of Ray's extremely soulful approach to the trio format! Our favorite album ever from Roland Kirk – and a beautiful mix of two different sides of his genius! Side one's got Roland doing these crazy takes on late 60's pop cuts like "My Cherie Amour" and "Say a Little Prayer", plus his own "songs", done with soulful ... LP, Vinyl record album
Roland Kirk's last album – and a return to traditional forms, as might be hinted at by the title! In a way, some of Kirk's later work is similar to that of Mingus – in that both had been pioneering modernists in their earlier years, then turned heavily towards the traditional forms ... Definitely something nice from the great Roy C – one of the overlooked soul singer's great 70s albums for Mercury – all of which are ripe for rediscovery by a younger generation!
