God Only Knows/Do Me Wrong, But Do Me

7-inch (Item 959054) Fame, 1974 — Condition: Near Mint-
Out Of Stock

7-inch, Vinyl record

✈

(White label promo. Label has a small sticker.)

Near Mint - (minus)

  • Black vinyl that may show a slight amount of dust or dirt.
  • Should still be very shiny under a light, even with slight amount of dust on surface.
  • One or two small marks that would make an otherwise near perfect record slightly less so. These marks cannot be too deep, and should only be surface marks that won't affect play, but might detract from the looks.
  • May have some flaws and discoloration in the vinyl, but only those that would be intrinsic to the pressing. These should disappear when the record is tilted under the light, and will only show up when looking straight at the record. (Buddah and ABC pressings from the 70's are a good example of this.)
  • May have some slight marks from aging of the paper sleeve on the vinyl.
  • Possible minor surface noise when played.

Additional Marks & Notes

If something is noteworthy, we try to note it in the comments — especially if it is an oddity that is the only wrong thing about the record. This might include, but isn't limited to, warped records, tracks that skip, cover damage or wear as noted above, or strictly cosmetic flaws.

A bit of a reggae groove in this one – clearly inspired by Bob Marley's "Jammin", and with a groove that's very similar! 7-inch, Vinyl record

Funky Worm/Paint Me
Westbound, 1973. Near Mint-
What can we say? "Funky Worm" is a bit of history – a great goofy funky track, and one that's been sampled more times than we can count! It's got the funky granny, nice moogy bits, and a great gimmick that we totally love! "Paint Me" has a great slow-funk groove, too! 7-inch, Vinyl record

Stevie Wonder

Creepin/Another Star
Tamla, 1974. Near Mint-
"Creepin" is one of Stevie's best from the 70s – a slow funky snakey tune with some sublime keyboards, rolling at a weird off-key pace that's made the track a wonderfully covered track for years! 7-inch, Vinyl record
Tamla, 1976. Near Mint-
An incredible cut – and one of the greatest love anthems of all time! "I Want You" is a fantastic number written and produced by Leon Ware – a call to Marvin's new love interest of the mid 70s, and one of those tunes that never fails to send chills down our spine. Leon does ... 7-inch, Vinyl record
RCA, 1976. Very Good+
Two tasty disco groovers by this obscure RCA group – both with a nice European flair! "Voce Abousou" is the real winner here – a disco take on the funky samba tune by Antonio Carlos E Jocafi – done a bit smoother than the original, but with a nice dose of soul! 7-inch, Vinyl record
King, Early 60s. Near Mint-
An early one from James – with a raw R&B groove on both tracks, and shouted vocals that strike right at the core of the songs! "Crazy" has kind of a "Night Train" beat to it – and "Lost Someone" is slower, with a bluesy slow vamp kind of approach that ... 7-inch, Vinyl record
