This image is a general representation of the item and the actual product may differ slightly in terms of color shading, logo placement, borders, or other small details. Used items may have various cosmetic differences as well.
If something is noteworthy, we try to note it in the comments — especially
if it is an oddity that is the only wrong thing about the record.
This might include, but isn't limited to, warped records, tracks that skip,
cover damage or wear as noted above, or strictly cosmetic flaws.
Used CD Grade
We have only one grade for non-new CDs at Dusty Groove — "Used CD".
This grade is somewhat all-encompassing, but we choose it because we try to offer
Used CDs in the best shape possible.
When you purchase a Used CD you can expect the disc to be free of all but the
lightest of surface marks, the case to be clean (we often change the cases ourselves),
and the booklet to be in good shape.
Used CDs may show some signs of use but if there are significant details or
defects we will list them underneath the item — just like we do with LPs —
so look there for notes on cutout marks, stickers, promo stamps or other details.
All of our Used CDs are guaranteed to play without skipping or flaws.
If you purchase a Used CD from Dusty Groove, you have 1 week to play it to determine
that it plays correctly —
and if it does not, then you may return it for a full refund.
Evelyn Champagne King will always be most popularly remembered for her massive disco pop crossover hits of the late 70s, but she progressed really nicely throughout the 80s, keeping up with the evolving dancefloor soul sounds of the times – and Face To Face is a lean, clubby electro soul and ... CD
Seminal modern soul from the great Leon Ware – an artist who had a great influence on the sound of mellow Motown in the 70s, but who's sounding even better here in an early 80s California groove! Leon's smooth, sophisticated, and very much his own man on the set – unabashedly upfront ... CD
Set that brings together remixes and rare versions of some older tracks by Dee-Lite, plus a few b-sides and other goodies. Titles inclue the groovy "Pussycat Meow", plus "Groove Is In The Heart", "Try Me On", "How You Say . . . Love", "Good Beat", ... CD
There's a Roger Troutman groove all over this album from Human Body – no surprise, since Roger plays guitar, keyboards, and bass – and even produced the album himself! The style's kind of a left-of-center take on the Zapp groove of the time – a bit rougher and more street-consciou ... CD
A much better record than we want to admit, with Natalie moving towards jazzy numbers and standards, for a blockbuster Grammy winning effort. Her voice stands up well to the mainstream polish, and even the creepy "duet" with her father is enjoyable. 22 tracks in all, including "The ... CD
A spacey little set of clubby grooves from European disco honchos Jacques Fred Petrus and producer Mauro Malavasi – with lead vocals from the legendary Leroy Burgess! The tracks here are all quite long and building – very much in the classic Prelude Records mode, and with a fair dose ... CD
A big one for Norman Cook – caught here in his post-Housemartins, pre-Fatboy Slim years – working here in a playful blend of beats and samples that really point the way towards his later chart fame to come! The tracks here have a simple elegance that might have sounded dated a few ... CD
Johnny's very much in his "revival" mode here – dipping back to his earlier R&B roots, and working with a host of famous older blues singers. The set's got vocals by Roy Milton, Roy Brown, Esther Phillips, Mighty Mouth Evans, Ivory Joe Hunter, Eddie Cleanhead Vinson, Margie ... CD
