Aperitivo Volume Due

LP (Item 947962) Apertivo (Italy), Late 60s/Early 70s — Condition: Very Good+
2LP

Groovy compilation of rare Italian instrumentals – with a sound that's nice and loungey, with lots of organs, brassy grooves, and a mix of funk and easy styles that's very very fresh! When we first saw this, we were thinking "oh, just another Italian compilation" (even though we love most of them!) – but it's got a very different approach than a lot of the others, and it bubbles nicely with energy on nearly every track. Includes "Smash" by L.P. Bonsignore, "Jazz 4 Two" by Flabby, "Archi In Bossa" by U. Fusco, "Baby Samba" by Nelabi, "Raid" by D. Dell'Area, "Occhio Magico" by S. Torossi, and "Elegante Beat" by G. Ferroni. Nice stuff, and one we almost passed up!  © 1996-2020, Dusty Groove, Inc.

Very Good + (plus)

  • Vinyl should be very clean, but can have less luster than near mint.
  • Should still shine under a light, but one or two marks may show up when tilted.
  • Can have a few small marks that may show up easily, but which do not affect play at all. Most marks of this quality will disappear when the record is tilted, and will not be felt with the back of a fingernail.
  • This is the kind of record that will play "near mint", but which will have some signs of use (although not major ones).
  • May have slight surface noise when played.

Additional Marks & Notes

If something is noteworthy, we try to note it in the comments — especially if it is an oddity that is the only wrong thing about the record. This might include, but isn't limited to, warped records, tracks that skip, cover damage or wear as noted above, or strictly cosmetic flaws.

We know you're probably overstuffed with compilations of rare Italian grooves – but believe us, this one's a real standout!
