Ethel Merman Sings Annie Get Your Gun

LP (Item 947375) Phase 4/London, 1966 — Condition: Sealed
Gatefold

(Shrinkwrap has some sticker remnants and a hole in front. Cover has a cut corner.)

Sealed

This is what it says, that the record is still held fast in shrink-wrap. We tend to be pretty suspicious about these things, so if the shrink-wrap doesn't look original, or if the record seems to have undergone some damage over time, we'll probably take it out of the wrapper to ensure that it's in good shape — which is why we don't have more of these. In some cases the shrink-wrap may be torn in spots, but if it's not possible the record has been taken out and played, the record will still qualify as "Sealed".

Additional Marks & Notes

If something is noteworthy, we try to note it in the comments — especially if it is an oddity that is the only wrong thing about the record. This might include, but isn't limited to, warped records, tracks that skip, cover damage or wear as noted above, or strictly cosmetic flaws.

Robbery
London, 1967. Near Mint-
A killer soundtrack from jazzy Johnny Keating – a set that we'd rank right up there with his other non-film work of the 60s! The score's got a bold, edgey sort of quality – one that shows a real maturation in Keating's music since the earlier part of the decade – but still that ... LP, Vinyl record album

Mr Lucky Goes Latin
RCA, 1961. Very Good+
One of Henry Mancini's best soundtracks – made even better! The score for Mr. Lucky was a masterpiece of jazzy little themes – and it's always been one that we've loved way better than Peter Gunn or some of Mancini's other more famous work. Here, Mancini redoes that music with a west ... LP, Vinyl record album

Mikis Thedorakis might seem an odd choice to score a film set on the mean streets of New York – but he gets some wonderful help here from Bob James, who helps ensure that the funky tracks come off nice and sweet!
